Organized under the presidency of HSH Prince Albert II, since 2018 the YCM Explorer Awards La Belle Classe Superyachts have been recognizing the most forward-thinking owners and most eco-responsible yachts in the industry. This year’s edition of the awards ceremony recognized the electric Sunreef 80 Eco Marie-Joseph as the best yacht in the Technology & Innovation category.
Awarded by a jury of professionals, four prizes were given to the men and women who, as true explorers of tomorrow, perpetuate the “Art de Vivre la Mer” philosophy. Sunreef Yachts Founder and President Francis Lapp received the award with the Sunreef 80 Eco winning in the Technology & Innovation category.
The Sunreef 80 Eco Marie-Joseph was the candidate that surprised the Jury the most by the sheer number of eco-targeted innovations, including solar panels with a “solar skin” system, a hydro generation system and high-performance batteries.
