SIRENA YACHTS UNVEILS ITS EXCITING NEW 118FT FLAGSHIP AT THE CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL
Sirena Yachts has unveiled its new 118ft flagship at the Cannes Yachting Festival, marking a significant milestone for the Turkish yacht builder and introducing the largest and most ambitious model in the brand’s portfolio.
At 36 metres in overall length and with a 7.8-metre beam, the Sirena 118 was among the largest yachts presented at the show. The debut represents the culmination of years of development by an international team that includes renowned designers German Frers and Cor D Rover working alongside Sirena’s extensive in-house design expertise.

Instantly recognisable as a member of the Sirena Yachts family, the new flagship carries forward the distinctive design language of the range while elevating it to superyacht proportions. A powerful profile, purposeful axe bow, rectangular hull windows and aft-leaning fashion plates establish a strong visual connection with her smaller sisterships.
Generous proportions have been intelligently employed to create expansive living spaces throughout. A substantial beach club, fold-down sea balconies and spacious foredeck lounges strengthen the connection between guests and the water while providing versatile environments for relaxation, entertainment and life at sea.
The Sirena 118 combines glass-fibre construction with carbon fibre in the upper decks, alongside resin-infusion techniques designed to reduce weight and maintenance requirements.

As standard, twin 1,550hp MAN diesel engines provide a cruising speed of approximately 10 knots and a maximum speed of 16 knots. Owners can alternatively select a more powerful package featuring twin 1,990hp MAN V12 engines, increasing the yacht’s top speed to approximately 18 knots.
“We are exceedingly proud to be able to show the first Sirena 118, IKIGAI at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival,” said Cagin Genc, CEO of Sirena Marine. “Working with our own in-house design team and some of the best-known names in the business, we have delivered a yacht that stretches the advantages of composite construction well into the realm of superyachting.”
Striking exterior Sirena Yachts continues its longstanding collaboration with German Frers, responsible for the naval architecture of the Sirena 118, while the shipyard’s in-house design team developed the exterior styling.
The collaboration ensures a strong family resemblance with the wider Sirena range while maintaining the seaworthiness, efficiency and elegance that characterise the brand.

Particular attention was given to hull geometry, with advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis employed to maximise hydrodynamic efficiency. Careful development of the yacht’s afterbody also enabled the design team to eliminate the need for propeller tunnels while minimising turbulence.
“The result is an elegant, strong, reliable and seaworthy motor yacht, capable of travelling the world in comfort and safety,” said German Frers. “She represents a successful balance between performance and a smooth, comfortable ride, including when motoring upwind in challenging sea conditions.”
Expansive living spaces with a generous volume of 279GT, the Sirena 118 provides a highly flexible platform capable of adapting to individual owners’ lifestyles and priorities.

Guests arriving on board are welcomed by a spacious aft deck lounge furnished with comfortable seating. Double opening doors lead into the main saloon, where full-height glazing fills the interior with natural light and reinforces the connection with the surrounding seascape.
The forward section of the main deck is dedicated to an impressive owner’s suite, offering direct access to a private foredeck terrace.
An optional Owner Split configuration extends this private domain to the deck below via a dedicated spiral staircase, creating an additional office and lounge. A fold-down sea balcony transforms the lower-level retreat into an intimate sanctuary overlooking the anchorage.
Accommodation can be configured with six guest cabins in total, welcoming up to 12 guests, supported by accommodation for up to five crew across three cabins.

The upper deck is centred around an elegant lounge opening onto a more secluded aft terrace. Above, a spacious sundeck can be configured according to each owner’s individual preferences.
Rather than treating these exterior areas as isolated spaces, the Sirena 118 brings them together as a connected open-air living environment. Designed to accommodate different groups, levels of privacy and moments throughout the day, the arrangement naturally extends onboard life towards the sea.
A highly bespoke first hull the first Sirena 118, IKIGAI demonstrates the extensive customisation possibilities offered by the new flagship platform.
Working closely with the owner and Sirena’s interior design team, Cor D Rover developed the yacht’s distinctive interior around a guiding principle he describes as “home, sea, home.”
Reflecting the yacht’s purpose as a vessel for exploration, the design pays tribute to the great explorers of the past while retaining the warmth, comfort and familiarity of a private residence.
“The design is built around exploration, the people who went first, went deeper, went higher, and the world they moved through to get there,” said Rover. “Its shapes, colours and materials are drawn from the vessels and instruments of that world: riveted hulls, aircraft fuselage, vintage navy portholes, ship’s compasses – reworked here into something that still feels warm and lived-in rather than literal. It’s an interior about curiosity, movement, and the will to keep going.”

Throughout IKIGAI, unexpected materials and highly crafted details create a distinctive visual identity.
In the saloon, the ceiling incorporates pressed leaves encased within multiple layers of milk glass. Illuminated from behind, the installation creates an atmospheric interplay of light and shadow reminiscent of a greenhouse or fabric canopy.
Decorative surfaces incorporating peacock feathers and countertops featuring seashell elements further reinforce the interior’s relationship with the natural world.
One of the yacht’s most distinctive architectural details is the spiral staircase connecting the owner’s main-deck suite with the private lounge and study below. A two-storey vintage mirror has been incorporated into the stairwell so that, when the lower lounge’s fold-down balcony is open, views of the water are reflected upwards and can be appreciated from the bedroom above.
The lower-level retreat is enveloped in a deep green wallcovering, creating a quieter and more intimate atmosphere in contrast with the main deck.

Bold colour and distinctive materials departing from the restrained neutral palettes often associated with contemporary yacht interiors, IKIGAI adopts a deliberately expressive approach to colour and material.
Carefully selected tones of moss green, burgundy and mustard introduce warmth and personality throughout the interior. Furniture sourced internationally complements the scheme, while finishes inspired by natural textures and the patina of age contribute additional depth and character.
The owner has also personalised key areas of the yacht’s layout to suit family life and entertaining. The upper deck lounge features a large dining table conceived for family meals, while the sundeck above incorporates an al fresco bar together with multiple seating and lounging areas beneath the carbon-fibre hardtop.

“For us, this is precisely where the uniqueness of the Sirena 118 lies: the platform enables owners and designers to take bold colours, unconventional materials and bespoke details beyond pure visual expression and transform them into a real, functional and liveable interior,” said Genc. “Each yacht can have a character of its own, yet every one remains part of the same design story resulting in a boat conceived entirely around its owner.”
With the unveiling of the Sirena 118, Sirena Yachts enters a new chapter in its evolution. Combining proven naval architecture, composite construction, generous volumes and extensive opportunities for personalisation, the new flagship translates the brand’s established design philosophy into the realm of superyachting.
IKIGAI demonstrates the potential of that platform a highly individual yacht conceived around its owner while remaining unmistakably Sirena.
