British Polo Day returned to Jodhpur, at The Jodhpur Polo and Equestrian Institute, for two days of fast-paced polo.
Jaeger-LeCoultre is the official watch partner of the British Polo Day Global Series held not only in India but also in Abu-Dhabi, Dubai, China, USA, Australia, Mexico, Morocco and Russia.
Hosted by His Highness Gaj Singh II The Maharaja of Marwar-Jodhpur, The Jodhpur Polo and Equestrian Institute welcomed the Jodhpur Polo teams for an exhilarating two-day competition.
Launching the British Polo Day India with an opening match between the British Exiles and Jodhpur, the competition was followed by a game opposing the Jodhpur and Mundota Fort & Palace.
Day 2 at the British Polo Day India began with a bicycle polo match between the Cavalry and the Guards. This was followed by a game between the Eton College team and the Charles Russel Speechlys Mayo College, its Indian contemporary. The Jaeger-LeCoultre ‘Best Playing Pony’ was awarded by Marc de Panafieu, Brand Director for Jaeger-LeCoultre in the Middle East to His Highness Maharajah Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur’s pony, Ria, from the Eton team.
The Gardens, with majestic Umaid Bhawan Palace as the back-drop, was the setting where the spectacular celebration of the iconic Reverso’s 85th anniversary came to a close under a starlit sky with a gala dinner, fashion show and auction. Jaeger-LeCoultre donated an iconic Reverso watch for the auction, raising a worthy US$11,000 for The Head Injury Foundation and Head Injury Through Sport, which was founded by His Highness The Maharaja Gaj Singh II Of Marwar-Jodhpur.
