GX SUPERYACHTS CELEBRATES THE LAUNCH OF THE GX42 AHEAD OF HER WORLD DEBUT AT THE MONACO YACHT SHOW 2026
Just two years after unveiling its vision at the Monaco Yacht Show, GX Superyachts has reached a defining milestone with the successful launch of the first GX42. The 42-metre flagship will now undergo final outfitting and sea trials ahead of its highly anticipated world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026.
The launch marks GX Superyachts’ evolution from an ambitious concept into a tangible reality. Conceived to redefine expectations within the superyacht sector, the GX42 combines striking contemporary design, long-range cruising capability and a more responsible approach to luxury yachting.
Developed by the experienced team behind Greenline Yachts, the GX42 draws on more than 15 years of expertise in hybrid propulsion and energy management. It brings these proven technologies to the superyacht market through an advanced parallel diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system, extensive integrated solar arrays and a high-capacity lithium battery bank. Together, these technologies significantly reduce emissions while creating a quieter and more comfortable onboard experience.
“Today is an emotional milestone for everyone involved in GX Superyachts,” said yard owner Vladimir Zinchenko. “Only two years ago, we introduced a bold new vision for the future of superyachting in Monaco. Seeing the first GX42 enter the water proves that this vision has become a reality. We now look forward to presenting her to the world at the Monaco Yacht Show, where the journey first began.”
“The GX42 demonstrates that responsible yachting and uncompromising luxury can go hand in hand,” said Maurizio Magri, Chief Commercial Officer of GX Superyachts. “With the ability to operate in zero-emissions mode for up to 48 hours at anchor and reduce onboard electricity consumption by as much as 45 per cent, she offers a quieter, cleaner and more comfortable way to experience life at sea.
“By reducing reliance on generators, the GX42 lowers operational emissions and fuel consumption while enhancing onboard comfort, allowing owners to enjoy the sea with greater respect for the environment.

The yacht’s elegant exterior and sophisticated interior were created by renowned Italian designer Marco Casali. His seamless design approach connects every onboard space through clean architectural lines, natural materials and understated luxury. The result is a yacht conceived for extended cruising, relaxed family living and an effortless connection with the sea.
“It is incredibly rewarding to see the GX42 exactly as we imagined her in the earliest sketches,” said Marco Casali, founder of Too Design. “Our ambition was to create a yacht that feels timeless rather than fashionable one in which sustainability and elegance naturally complement each other. Watching her leave the shipyard for the first time is a special moment for the entire design team.”
Built in collaboration with SES Yachts in Türkiye, the GX42 also reflects the strength of the partnerships GX Superyachts has established since the brand’s launch. The project brought together specialists in naval architecture, engineering, construction and design to create a yacht that challenges conventional expectations of efficiency without compromising luxury, performance or comfort.

Andrea Armas of Specialist Marine worked closely with the GX Superyachts Board as Technical Consultant. Over the past three years, she has been based at the SES Yachts facility, overseeing the GX42’s design, engineering and production on behalf of GX Superyachts.
“It has been a remarkable yacht-building experience, working alongside an exceptionally professional team and collectively pushing the boundaries of hybrid superyacht design, engineering and construction,” said Armas.
Following her launch, the GX42 will complete final outfitting and sea trials before travelling to Monaco for her official public premiere. Visitors to the Monaco Yacht Show 2026 will have the first opportunity to experience the yacht designed to introduce a new generation of responsible superyachts.
The GX42 is the first model in a planned range spanning 24 to 56 metres. By combining advanced hybrid technology, intelligent energy management, refined Italian design and genuine long-range cruising capability, GX Superyachts continues its mission to establish a new benchmark for sustainable luxury at sea.
