ANTONINI NAVI SELLS THE FIRST XPD95
A bespoke 95-metre-class concept shaped around the owner’s vision, combining expedition-inspired DNA with Mediterranean lifestyle and superyacht comfort.
Antonini Navi announces the sale of the first XPD95, a project born from the shipyard’s expedition yacht DNA and reimagined through an extensive bespoke development process to create a superyacht tailored to the owner’s individual needs, lifestyle and approach to life at sea.
From the outset, the owner was attracted to the XPD95 concept and its distinctive exterior lines, choosing to retain the project’s original identity while working closely with Antonini Navi to develop a yacht precisely aligned with his requirements for navigation, comfort, privacy and onboard living.
The result is a highly collaborative design process that evolved over several months of direct meetings between the owner, Aldo Manna, Co-Founder and Sales Director of Antonini Navi, and the shipyard’s team. Through this close dialogue, every aspect of the yacht from the general arrangement and onboard functions to operational requirements and intended use was progressively defined together with the client.
Expedition DNA, Reinterpreted for the Mediterranean the XPD95 retains the fundamental characteristics of its long-range origins, expressed through a steel hull, aluminium superstructure, robust construction and practical technical solutions, while its naval design language has been carefully adapted to a yacht intended primarily for the Mediterranean.
A direct connection with the sea, exceptional owner privacy, generous outdoor spaces and ease of operation are central to the design philosophy, creating a motor yacht conceived to be enjoyed extensively and effortlessly.
The exterior design by Sculli & Covini takes inspiration from professional offshore vessels, translating their functional character into a contemporary and immediately recognisable superyacht profile. The high, imposing bow conveys a strong sense of protection and solidity, while the volumes progressively become lighter towards the stern, opening onto a substantial platform at the water’s edge.
The wheelhouse draws inspiration from the bridge structures of ocean-going tugboats, while polished stainless-steel elements in operational areas reinforce the XPD95’s distinctive maritime character.
The interiors, designed by Hot Lab, translate the owner’s personal tastes into welcoming, light-filled environments characterised by warmth, refinement and understated elegance. Eucalyptus forms the dominant wood, complemented by lacquered surfaces, leather, fabrics, metal details and natural stone. Soft, flowing furniture forms and carefully considered sightlines create a strong sense of visual continuity between the interior and exterior spaces.

A Low-Profile Architecture Below 199 GT the XPD95 is characterised by a predominantly horizontal architectural language and a low, sweeping profile. The layout has been carefully engineered to maintain the yacht’s gross tonnage below 199 GT, while concentrating its functions without resorting to the multiple-deck configuration typically associated with larger yachts.
The arrangement creates a clear separation between the yacht’s different functions while ensuring easy access to the principal outdoor areas. The stern combines technical functionality with generous spaces for socialising at sea, while the owner benefits from an entire private deck. At the same time, dedicated crew circulation routes provide efficient and independent pathways for living and working onboard.
A Multifunctional Beach area one of the defining features of the XPD95 is its approximately 35-square-metre multifunctional beach area.
While underway, the space can accommodate a five-metre tender, while retaining sufficient room for guests to enjoy the area. Once the tender has been launched, the space transforms into a large private terrace directly overlooking the sea.
A transformer platform completes the arrangement, facilitating tender launching and recovery operations while also providing direct access to the water and serving as a dedicated base for a wide range of watersports and recreational activities.
A Private Owner’s deck privacy is central to the XPD95 concept. The dedicated Owner’s Deck spans approximately 60 square metres, comprising around 25 square metres of interior space and a 35-square-metre integrated terrace.
Conceived as a private apartment overlooking the sea, the deck allows the owner to choose freely between sharing life onboard with guests and retreating into a completely private environment.
The Owner’s Deck can be accessed both from within the yacht and through a protected structural staircase positioned on the port side, close to the centre of the vessel. This dedicated access reinforces the separation between the owner’s private environment and the guest areas.
Outdoor Living Without a Sun Deck the decision to omit a traditional Sun Deck is a deliberate part of the XPD95’s design philosophy. Instead, outdoor living is distributed across two substantial areas while preserving the yacht’s low and elegant profile.
The 44-square-metre Main Deck cockpit provides a generous setting for outdoor dining, relaxation and socialising, while the 33-square-metre Foredeck Living area on the Upper Deck offers an additional outdoor environment with a different relationship to the sea.
Together, these spaces provide extensive opportunities for outdoor living without compromising the yacht’s distinctive horizontal architecture.
Crew efficiency and operational functionality particular attention has also been dedicated to crew accommodation and circulation. The principal crew quarters are located on the Lower Deck in the central section of the yacht, creating separation between guest areas and the engine room.
The crew accommodation totals approximately 23 square metres and comprises two three-berth cabins. A third cabin is strategically positioned forward on the Main Deck, close to the galley and laundry. This additional space can accommodate another crew member or alternatively be used for storage, providing further operational flexibility.
An experienced team supporting construction of the XPD95 will be overseen by the Camper & Nicholsons team, while Daniela Duck will act as Owner’s Representative. Duck has a long-standing working relationship with Antonini Navi and will facilitate continuous communication between the owner and shipyard throughout all stages of the project.
The construction contract was developed with the support of a team of experienced professional consultants with established relationships with the shipyard.
Ezio Dal Maso, Partner and Head of the Superyacht Practice at Stephenson Harwood, together with Alberta Longanesi Cattani, Managing Associate, advised the owner. Cecilia Vernetti, Partner in the Shipping & Yachting team at Deloitte Legal, advised Antonini Navi.
Their involvement from the outset is intended to support a structured and efficient construction process, providing continuity and clarity throughout the project.
