YACHTS WITH ‘ATTITUDE’
The latest 62M M/Y concept, Comprising five well-resolved deck levels built over an extended waterline, this distinctive and unusual-looking design is a case of ‘what you see is what you get,’ where the impression of strength, a sense of purpose and confidence prevails. A yacht with more than a touch of the ‘military’ about it – a yacht with ‘attitude.’
Bordering upon an almost ‘Obsessive Compulsive Disorder’ for straight lines, right-angles and symmetry, the objective was to make the best use of the space available. This could be an efficient yacht to build and maintain. After all, square lines and right angles are easier to design and construct than obscure angles and rounded curves.
Efficiency also extends inside where a sense of equilibrium and the logical placement of large items of furniture preside. The large fixed swim platform / transom has a swimming pool sunk into the platform itself and is a less complicated solution than constructing an equivalent, fully folding swim platform. The pool is part of a fully serviced Wellness-Centre, complete with sauna and hairdressing salon.
Stepping up from here, there’s a ‘convertible’ dining area in the main saloon, with side windows that can be completely lowered, thereby creating an outside dining experience for twelve people who will be able to enjoy feeling as if they were dining outside on the patio of a contemporarydesigned,
luxury villa.
Shared with the bridge forward and the captain’s cabin immediately behind, a lavish VIP suite, located on the Upper deck, is another unusual highlight, not only in being so large, but with private, enclosed terrace all of its own.
Not to be outdone, atop the Upper deck is the owner’s ‘Upper, Upper’ Deck space, entirely dedicated to the needs of the owner with full 360˚views and also with its own lounge and aft terrace.
