A brand-new model in the AB Yachts range, the AB120, has just been launched. This 37-meter vessel ‘flies’ on the water at 45 knots and offers innovative and extremely functional volumes and spaces, including the large aft area extendable up to 100 square metres and harmoniously integrated with the other onboard convivial areas, as well as a very easy management of both tender and water toys.
The AB120 reflects Next Yacht Group’s new strategic path, aimed at a gentle transformation of the entire product range through the use of state-of-the-art technologies – also borrowed from outside the naval sector – and unique solutions in terms of onboard functionality and liveability, so as to offer increasingly high-performing and exciting yachts. Vessels designed both to cruise the seas fast and safely and to be enjoyed in unmatched comfort and relax, as in a suspended time, surrounded by incredible brightness and fully immersed in nature.
A clear expression of this philosophy is undoubtedly the new beach area – quite unique in its kind on a sporty craft like the AB120 -, which has been thought out to literally go beyond traditional onboard spaces: when the two large aft wings are deployed, the aft platform’s size grows exponentially, creating a huge terrace on the sea. And that’s not all: the truly amazing thing is that the beach area flawlessly integrates with the aft cockpit and, once the main saloon sliding doors are opened and fully concealed to connect the indoor and outdoor areas, the result is a huge, multipurpose seamless space exceeding 100 square metres (1,100 sq. ft.) with a ‘sea view’ pool that can be uncovered ‘on demand’ and all the space and solutions needed to easily manage the tender and the water toys.
Thanks to an ingenious float-in garage located aft and another garage at the bow, guests will be able to launch and use all kind of water toys – two 3-seater jet-skis, Seabobs, electric foil boards, SUP paddle boards, bikes and inflatables, plus a 4.60-metre tender – fast, easily and without interfering with life on the beach area – another unparalleled feature on a yacht in this class and boasting such impressive performances, and another accomplishment in AB Yachts’ efforts to endow their new product range with unprecedented features and versatility.
But there is even more to this sporty, slender 37-metre vessel (121-footer): innovative materials and cutting-edge construction techniques combined with waterjet propulsion (of which AB Yachts was a pioneer, starting back in 1992), allowing this jewel to deliver outstanding performances, above all in terms of cruising efficiency and reduced consumption and CO2 emissions; a speed of 45 knots in the utmost comfort and without the slightest vibrations; a range of 500 miles at a cruising speed of around 40 knots; a draft of as little as 1.35 metres (4 ft.), enabling the Owner to explore truly any destination, reaching even the most remote and hidden locations and cruising even the shallowest waters typical of the Caribbean, Miami, and the Bahamas. The East Cost of the US is indeed where this AB120 is now headed, ready to start the new summer season in the Caribbean.
This yacht’s large floor-to-ceiling windows let natural light flood the interiors and offer a 360° view on the sea, creating a smooth, uninterrupted flow with the outdoor areas. The saloon alone can boast a glazed surface of over 50 sq. m. (500 sq. ft.).
As is the case with every AB Yachts model – it goes without saying -, both layout and decor can be customised to every Owner’s individual needs and personal taste.
On this specific vessel, classic Flexform furniture comes in the warm, colonial-style shades of woods and other materials, skilfully combined with glass, leather, and soft-coloured lacquering, resulting in a stylish, sober, sophisticated atmosphere. The AB120 can accommodate up to ten guests in four spacious cabins on the lower deck, plus an innovative ‘double height ceiling’ saloon, also on the lower deck, to make the most of convivial life indoor, too. The dedicated crew quarters can fit up to 6 crew members in 3 ensuite cabins.
Additional distinctive elements of this AB120 include the ‘cinema under the stars’ system on the highest point of the yacht, the sundeck, to be enjoyed at best in a warm summer night; a convertible gym room fitted with the innovative Tonal equipment; and a bar, a real masterpiece designed exclusively for this Owner – all features that play a part in delivering extraordinary onboard wellbeing and conviviality, or, to capture all in one word… emotions.
