The Sunreef supreme 68 power outstanding performance during Baltic sea trials
The very first power catamaran from the Sunreef Supreme 68 range – Athena – has reached over 23 knots of speed during sea trials. Despite the difficult weather conditions, the strong wind and waves over one meter of height, the vessel kept her natural stability and ease of maneuvering.
Launched by the end of the Summer 2016, Athena is a unique yacht continuing the concept of the Sunreef Supreme 68 – a design offering a super yacht living space of over 300m² on a boat under 24m.
The Sunreef Supreme’s architecture revisits the way catamarans have been so far designed. A new, radical concept of the superstructure allows to keep the saloon and exterior deck on the same level. As a result, the Sunreef Supreme 68 Power boasts an enormous main room surrounded with floor to ceiling glass – a smooth, seamless space opening onto the cockpit and giving direct access to the deck through folding doors on both sides of the yacht. The exterior and interior surfaces of the boat merge into one panoramic lounging and dining area. The yacht is also equipped with a voluminous aft garage and a vast fly bridge – a Sunreef Yachts trademark feature since 2002.
During this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival in September, the concept of the Sunreef Supreme 68 received the World Yacht Trophies 2016 award for the best layout in the range of 50-80ft.
