Start the adventure with AMELS and DAMEN in Fort Lauderdale

At the AMELS and DAMEN stand (Superyacht Life 14) at the Hall of Fame floating docks, visitors can take a closer look at the top quality luxury yachts in the renowned 55 to 83-metre AMELS Limited Editions range (180 to 272 ft).

The stand will also feature a spectacular scale model of the 111-metre AMELS Full Custom concept (366 ft) with an exterior by H2 Yacht Design.

In addition to the stand, AMELS and DAMEN are showcasing two 55-metre DAMEN Yacht Support vessels (181 ft): AXIS (ex-FAST & FURIOUS) and NEW FRONTIERS.

AXIS and NEW FRONTIERS are both great examples of the exciting new adventure yachting trend taking owners into new territory. Owners use these DAMEN Yacht Support vessels for not only the established superyacht support functions, but also for all sorts of standalone adventures, for example:

  • a weekend away from the mother yacht, sport fishing in the Bahamas
  • action-packed dive and submersible excursions in Southeast Asia
  • or the luxury of being in two places at once connected by helicopter.

NEW FRONTIERS, currently en route across the Atlantic after her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show, occupies the floating docks’ prime position – Superyacht Life Slip 1. This DAMEN Yacht Support vessel has dedicated owner and guest accommodation, a 30 square-metre Main Deck panoramic lounge (323 square feet), plus a host of yachting enhancements. On aft deck a Triton submersible and a helicopter will be on display.

DAMEN-built AXIS is berthed at the show’s Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina location, accessed with a private tender service. AXIS is not only a support vessel for the owner’s superyacht – carrying tenders, a submersible and a sea plane – but also caters to guests with a huge party deck, outdoor grill and accommodation for up to 9 guests.

DAMEN SeaXplorer is also present at the AMELS and DAMEN stand, including the new SeaXplorer 55 – the latest development in the 55 to 100-metre luxury expedition yacht range (181 to 328 ft).

Since 1991, the AMELS yard in the Netherlands has been part of the Dutch family-owned DAMEN Shipyards Group – one of the world’s largest builders of fast craft, naval ships, offshore and deep-sea research vessels with 33 yards worldwide. An icon of modern Dutch industrial entrepreneurship for more than 90 years, the Damen family is very much involved in the day-to-day yachting business, including AMELS, DAMEN Yacht Support and DAMEN SeaXplorer.
