RECORD-BREAKING YEAR OF NEW DELIVERIES FOR LÜRSSEN
Lürssen has achieved an unprecedented milestone in 2026, marking its most successful year for new yacht deliveries to date. The renowned German shipyard has welcomed six exceptional yachts into its fleet Odisea, Deep Blue, Boardwalk, O3, Nausicaä and Nixie forming one of the most varied collections of superyachts ever delivered by a single builder within a single year.
Each yacht has now departed northern Germany to begin cruising destinations across the globe, fulfilling the purpose for which every Lürssen yacht is built. Their delivery also marks another landmark achievement for the shipyard which now has more than 30 yachts exceeding 100 metres in operation. Over one-third of the world’s 100 largest yachts bear the Lürssen name.
Rather than being defined by size, however, Lürssen continues to distinguish itself through its commitment to individuality. The shipyard avoids following design trends, instead giving owners complete creative freedom to realise their personal vision. As a result, there is no single Lürssen aesthetic only a shared standard of exceptional craftsmanship, engineering, and quality.

Ranging from 75 to 140 metres, the six yachts highlight the remarkable versatility of the shipyard. While every vessel is entirely unique, each represents years of meticulous planning, advanced engineering and skilled craftsmanship. Building a Lürssen typically requires around four years with hundreds of thousands of production hours invested before a yacht is ready for delivery. This milestone therefore celebrates not only six completed yachts, but also the thousands of specialists whose expertise brings every project to life.
Among this year’s highlights is Nixie, which will make her public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026. Designed with a contemporary interpretation of a cabana lounge, she seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living through expansive open spaces. A six-metre-wide aft swimming pool extends over the swim platform, creating additional outdoor leisure space, while a bespoke hydraulic transom hatch opens completely flush with the deck to reveal a generous 270-square-metre beach club.
Nixie is also equipped with a sophisticated diesel electric propulsion system comparable to that installed aboard the award-winning 122-metre Kismet. Advanced battery storage enables efficient operation across various cruising conditions while significantly reducing onboard noise and vibration for a quieter, smoother experience.
Innovation extends beyond Nixie. Two additional yachts whose names remain confidential at their owners’ request introduce further advancements in propulsion technology. One features a battery system capable of powering the yacht overnight while at anchor without relying on generators, while another ranks among the most advanced diesel-electric yachts Lürssen has ever produced, incorporating electric stabilisers instead of conventional hydraulic systems on a yacht exceeding 100 metres.
Each of the six yachts also reflects highly individual engineering solutions developed to meet specific owner requirements. O3 has been designed for long-range exploration, combining expedition capability with luxurious onboard amenities suited to extended voyages.
Odisea reinterprets the traditional main salon through an almost entirely glass-enclosed design. Full-height structural glazing creates a refined beach-house atmosphere that seamlessly connects interior and exterior living spaces.
For Nausicaä, acclaimed Australian industrial designer Marc Newson envisioned a futuristic profile featuring an expansive ribbon of structural glass wrapping the guest deck, complemented by an oversized glass skydome both unprecedented in their scale within the yachting industry. Instead of a conventional main salon, the yacht incorporates a striking split-level atrium aft, designed as a multifunctional gallery space. She also features an advanced hydraulic sledge system capable of launching and retrieving a large tender from a dry dock, a rare feature aboard a superyacht.
In contrast, Baordwalk embraces a more classic design language while showcasing discreet yet highly sophisticated engineering. She introduces Lürssen’s first sliding hatch integrated with a retractable stairwell on the main deck. Although the concept originated during the development of Flying Fox now known as Hadar in 2019, Boardwalk is the first Lürssen yacht to incorporate a sliding exterior deck within the stairwell design.
These innovations represent only a selection of the technological advances developed across this year’s deliveries. As with every Lürssen project, each yacht has been created around its owner’s individual vision, reaffirming the shipyard’s philosophy that there is no single definition of luxury yachting only one tailored to each owner.
