HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco step aboard the Heesen yacht Galactica Star to present the Monaco Yacht Show MYS/Baccarat Prix du Design for the best super yacht interior.
For the tenth time, the MYS organisers – in collaboration with the French Crystal manufacturer Baccarat for their second consecutive year as event partner – put one super yacht on a pedestal above the other 100-plus super yachts exhibited at the show. To qualify for the short list the yacht has to be presented by the shipyard that built her. The 65-metre motor yacht Galactica Star’s impressed the jury and beat stiff competition from other builders and designers.
Dickie Bannenberg – of Bannenberg+Rowell, Galactica Star yacht’s interior designers – says: “We are excited to hear of Galactica Star’s award of the Prix du Design. To win this prize amongst a show-full of leading yachts is a credit to the whole team assembled by Heesen , we have enjoyed every minute of the collaboration.”
