OCEANIC 76’ GT – WORKS IN PROGRESS
Over 40 people are working on this specific project to get it delivered on schedule as the contract has been signed late February with an imperative delivery date of August 1st.
The hull and superstructure that have been faired like a super-yacht have been painted, offering a never seen before mirror effect.
The engine room is being completed and all the equipment has been installed; Stern Thruster, Seakeeper, Hamann Water Treatement Plan, the two 20 kW Kohler generators, pumps, anti-fire systems, Idromar water maker…
The lower deck hand-made produced furniture are being installed.
The interior design of the 76’ GT Oceanic is from Cristiano Gatto whose fees are standard with all Oceanic Yachts. The first 76’ Oceanic has been designed in direct collaboration with the owner of the boat who will keep it based in Golfe Juan, South of France.
Cristiano Gatto recently commented the construction process to the client as follow: “It is really amazing to be involved in the construction of a custom made 23 meter at Canados. I frequently do similar sized yachts, but nowhere else did I see such approach from a builder. The technical office as well as the superb internal joinery shop are simply processing like if it was a 50-meter project. They basically scaled down large yacht processes to smaller yachts, allowing the owner unlimited choices and variants in the smallest details. I will not even elaborate on the capacity of the craftsmen who are simply producing work of art”.
Powered by twin Caterpillar C18 Acert, the displanning hull, a Canados signature design, will allow the boat to cruise with extended range at low speed and still top 26 knots despite its very reasonable power package.
