The next milestone for Abeking & Rasmussen

The keel laying of the largest project in the history of Abeking & Rasmussen took place during a festive ceremony at Pella Sietas, Hamburg. The first milestone for the 118 m motor yacht was witnessed by numerous representatives of the owners, the designers, the shipyard and the subcontractors.

In relation to the shipbuilding, there are already numerous innovations in production. A newly developed process of laser welding guarantees a smoother surface that reduces reworking to a minimum. This new method was developed by the Berlin company Photon in close cooperation with Abeking & Rasmussen which promises great results for the highest demands on the shell plating.

With the distinctive design of Joseph Dirand Architecture the yacht will feature numerous tenders, water toys and a submarine. Furthermore, a Neptune Lounge and an exceptionally large pool are just some of the highlights. Cornelsen & Partner is acting as the Owner’s Representative of this project. We, together with all parties, are proud to have the opportunity to build this fantastic superyacht.
