The New Executive 1850 by Van den Hoven Jachtbouw
Van den Hoven Jachtbouw in the Netherlands has introduced a brand-new motoryacht, the Executive 1850.
The stunning design created by John van Leeuwen in partnership with yacht designer Arnold de Ruyter integrates the characteristic lines of the Dutch yard’s highly successful 1700 series.
Over the past 20 years Van den Hoven Jachtbouw has delivered a total of 45 motoryachts. All the experience gained in building this fleet was incorporated into the Executive 1850 from the design stage, ensuring an optimal balance between maximum space and elegant aesthetics.
The Dutch-build quality gives the Executive 1850 an genuine sense of reliability and safety, making the yacht ideal for longer trips in continental Europe as well as tours to the British Isles.
Client-oriented
Experienced yacht owners have increasingly specific demands for their sailing comfort, especially when it comes to longer stays on board. Van den Hoven Jachtbouw focuses on building its yachts as flexibly as possible in order to meet individual client requirements. As a result, no two 1850s on the market will look or feel the same.
The yacht is available with or without flybridge. Combined with a small outside galley, refrigerator, comfortable sofas and an extra steering position, this creates a fabulous ‘rooftop terrace’ for al fresco dining. The optional and stylish bimini ensures plenty of protection from the sun too.
The interior of the yacht can also be aligned to the owner’s wishes, offering a wide selection of woods, colours, materials and furnishings as well as layout-related options such as more bathrooms or fewer cabins.
Spacious
One of the characteristics of every Van den Hoven yacht is the impressive sense of space on board, and the Executive 1850 is no exception. With the engine room situated aft, there is room for three luxury cabins, two large bathrooms with toilets plus a separate day head, a spacious living room and a modern galley. The yacht is equipped with twin Volvo Penta, D6 300 hp engines and its CE A certification makes her ideal for more open waters.
Sailing comfort and luxury
As key factors in terms of sailing comfort, vibration, noise and roll were major focal points in designing the Executive 1850. The yacht comes as standard with stabilisers, while the underwater segment provides a high initial stability.
To reduce noise, the entire engine room is finished with high-quality engine room insulation and white aluminium perforated panels. Vibration is eliminated as much as possible via the heavy hull and the transmission from the engines to the axles, which also includes a homokinetic coupling.
The level of finish on board the Executive 1850 is very high. The cap rail, decorative grilles and anchor locker, for instance, are made of the finest stainless steel with exceptional welding work. The spacious and elegant motoryacht is easy to sail: partly due to the bow thruster and its maneuverability, mooring is a piece of cake, and the deck layout makes her easy to move and walk around.
Smart proposition
The spacious and well-thought-through Executive 1850 is a highly impressive addition to the 17.50 to 20-metre segment, made all the more attractive by a competitive starting price.
