MOONFLOWER 72 IN BUILD AT WIDER: NEW EXTERIOR DESIGN DETAILS UNVEILED
The style language behind MOONFLOWER 72 is typical of our design philosophy at Nauta,” says co-founder Mario Pedol. “An imposing steel and aluminium superyacht equipped with latest generation of the Wider serial hybrid propulsion system, the exterior design is based on the holistic and balanced combination of style and comfort with pure, elegant lines and a harmonious connection between exterior and interior. There are no fussy or superfluous details that might interrupt the close relationship with nature and the marine environment.
Considerable study was invested in the profile design and exterior social spaces. At first glance she appears almost severe with the look of a streamlined knife blade slicing through the water. But her aggressive longitudinal plans are combined with organic contours, chamfered folds and balanced volumes to create a timeless elegance that will remain beautiful and relevant in years to come.
The overall aesthetic instills a decisive personality and expressive force, but also a sense of peace and freedom. This stylistic language plays on the synthesis of male and female forms while remaining firmly anchored in the demands of buildability and functionality.
Not forgetting ‘The Island the innovative beach club concept patented by Nauta Design. Comprising multiple fold-down platforms that expand the swim platform and beach club to cover a massive 117 sqm, the indoor and outdoor areas are directly connected so guests can freely walk around the aft perimeter of the yacht for unrivalled contact with the sea on a 72-metre superyacht.
