Moonen Welcomes the Group Press Tour
Journalists from around the world visited Moonen this week as part of the annual Holland Yachting Group Press Tour and we enjoyed a sunny day of business and pleasure. It was a great opportunity to unveil our exciting new plans to open a Moonen office in Fort Lauderdale, about which we will share more details with you in due course.
It was an early start for our wordsmith guests as we assembled in the small town of Schoonhoven, berth place of the Moonen 85 Nickeline. Although she celebrated her 30th birthday this year, this lovely motoryacht (launched in 1987 as Lady M) remains in pristine condition and was the ideal host for us to enjoy a morning trip down the river. As well as sharing the beautiful and archetypical landscapes found in this part of the Netherlands, our CEO Emile gave a presentation on the sundeck about the latest exciting developments at Moonen Shipyards.
Sales Manager Johan Dubbelman, Director Operations Sietse van der Zee and Communications Manager Dorien Bilterijst were also on board. After an hour of very pleasant sailing we arrived at the Moonen yard in Groot-Ammers, where this image was taken. There the journalists were given a detailed tour of the Moonen Martinique which is currently under construction.
Seeing this superb new member of our Caribbean line taking shape – the hull and superstructure were married a few weeks ago – enabled the journalists to note just how much space the yacht will offer her future owners when launched early next year.
Overall, the Press Tour visit was a fruitful event which showcased how the timeless lines of a Moonen such as Nickeline retain their value while the modern looks of the Martinique take our yard into the future with style.
