MONACO YACHT SHOW 2026: THE SUPERYACHT MARKET IN MOTION
The 35th edition of the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS), held from 23 to 26 September 2026 at Port Hercule, brought together the international superyacht industry for four days of yacht presentations, client meetings, innovation and business.
Held under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, who led the official visit, the show welcomed 30,678 visitors, 560 exhibitors and a fleet of 118 superyachts, including 50 yachts delivered in 2026.
With new-build capacity at leading shipyards increasingly committed through 2028 and 2029, the concentration of yachts available for viewing, purchase and charter gave owners and prospective clients direct access to opportunities that would otherwise require years of planning.
An entire industry in one harbour according to a Deloitte study for SYBAss and the Superyacht Life Foundation, the superyacht industry generates approximately €54 billion annually, spanning yacht construction and maintenance, management, tourism and specialist services.
At Monaco, 560 exhibitors represented the breadth of this ecosystem, including shipyards, designers, naval architects, equipment manufacturers, brokers and specialist service providers.
The fleet formed the centrepiece of the show. The 118 superyachts on display represented an estimated combined value of €4.5 billion, with an average length of 47.5 metres.
Their presence was particularly significant in the current market environment. BOAT International’s Global Order Book 2026 indicates that the number of projects under construction has declined for a second consecutive year, while average yacht length and tonnage have reached record levels. Build slots at several leading shipyards are now committed through 2028–2029.
Among the largest yachts in attendance was Leviathan, Oceanco’s 111-metre yacht delivered at the end of 2025, making her Monaco debut alongside the 93-metre Draak, comprehensively rebuilt in 2026 to support Inkfish’s scientific expeditions.
Lürssen presented the 102.4-metre Nixie as a world premiere and the largest 2026 delivery on display.
Turquoise Yachts unveiled the 88-metre Angelique, the largest yacht ever built in Turkey by volume. Other notable premieres included Pangea, the 80-metre Amels and first Amels 80 presented at a yacht show; Sanlorenzo’s 73.4-metre Silver Fox, the yard’s largest yacht to date; the 66.4-metre Sea Raider X from ISA Yachts; Baglietto’s first T60 at 60.6 metres; and Sairu, the Riva 54 Metri and the largest Riva ever built.
Alongside new deliveries, leading brokerage and charter houses presented a significant proportion of the fleet. According to BOATPro, superyacht sales exceeded €4 billion in the first half of 2026, compared with €3.61 billion during the same period a year earlier.
Connecting yachts with qualified clients creating meaningful connections between exhibitors and prospective clients remained central to the show’s purpose.
Exhibitors invited 13,368 private guests, comprising yacht owners, prospective clients, advisers and representatives.
MYS also actively identified and attracted new clients, pre-qualifying 648 visitors with an active yacht project. Each received an invitation, an MYS VIP Guest Pass or a place in the Prestige VIP Programme.
The Prestige VIP Programme welcomed 56 clients from around the world and facilitated 85 yacht visits during the four-day event.
“My first Monaco Yacht Show at the helm confirmed what this event has to be: a marketplace for yacht projects, not a parade,” said Toby Moore, CEO of Informa Prestige. “All week, exhibitors spoke of a strong show, good quality conversations and serious buyers. Some come to step aboard a yacht for the first time or to see what is available for charter or purchase; others return for a final visit after months of preparation, and to seal their purchase in Monaco. Wherever they stand in that journey, the show is part of the sale. Our role remains to connect them with the right exhibitors, and every client, exhibitor and partner should hold us accountable for it.”
The 2026 edition introduced several new formats designed to enhance the visitor and exhibitor experience.
The new Designer Gallery replaced the former Yacht Design & Innovation Hub, creating a continuous platform within the Dockside Area and bringing together 14 leading design and naval architecture studios. Participants included Espen Oeino International, Frers Design, Philippe Briand, Pininfarina and VPLP Design.
Alongside the gallery, the MYS Immersive Experience by VBH enabled visitors to explore yacht projects in 3D.
Created by MYS and BOAT International, the BOAT Lounge at the Monaco Yacht Show hosted daily BOAT Radio broadcasts, interviews, panel discussions and networking sessions.
The Adventure Area expanded across three quays, including a new location near the Quai Antoine Ier entrance. It featured 72 tenders, alongside the Top Marques Monaco Pavilion, dedicated to hypercars and luxury automobiles and developed in partnership with the Top Marques Monaco show.
Sustainability and measurable environmental progress remained prominent throughout the show.
For the second edition of the Blue Wake™ Awards, an expert jury selected five category winners from 60 solutions validated through independent assessment by the Water Revolution Foundation.
Toby Moore presented the awards on 23 September in the BOAT Lounge alongside Leah Werner, Executive Director of the foundation.
The category winners were Tykun for Tenders/Water Toys, Bespoke Projects for Luxury Services & Products, Termodinamica for Nautical Supplier, Amico & Co for New Build/Refit Shipyard and Marina Ibiza for Yacht Services/Brokerage/Charter.
The Blue Wake Special Prize for a Yacht was awarded to the 62-metre Simena by Ares Yachts. The largest sailing yacht in the show’s fleet, Simena combines a ketch rig with hybrid propulsion.
During his official visit, Prince Albert II received the Monaco Yacht Show’s annual donation to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. This year’s contribution of €55,000 continued a partnership established in 2010.
Toby Moore and Stephen Carter, CEO of Informa Group, presented the cheque aboard Dagger, Benetti’s hybrid B.Now 67M. On the same occasion, Dagger joined the fleet certified under the SEA Index®, the Yacht Club de Monaco’s standard for assessing and comparing yachts’ CO₂ emissions.
Refit takes centre stage for 2027 also played a significant role at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, with 15 yachts on display having undergone refits within the previous three years.
With limited near-term build capacity at leading shipyards, refit is becoming an increasingly important option for owners seeking to upgrade existing yachts rather than wait several years for a new-build delivery.
The global superyacht refit market, estimated at between $3 billion and $5 billion annually and growing by approximately 6% to 9% per year, will receive its own dedicated Monaco event in 2027.
Informa Prestige will launch The Future of Refit, an event dedicated exclusively to superyacht refit and maintenance, at the Grimaldi Forum from 31 March to 2 April 2027, accompanied by an on-water display at the Yacht Club de Monaco marina.
Monaco Yacht Show expands its international reach the show also hosted, in the presence of Prince Albert II, the signing of an agreement between Tahaluf and Sela to deliver the Red Sea Yacht Show.
Powered by the Monaco Yacht Show and supported by BOAT International, the new event will hold its inaugural edition at Jeddah Yacht Club & Marina from 14 to 17 October 2027.
The announcement further extends the Monaco Yacht Show’s influence within the international yachting calendar and reflects the continued development of the superyacht market in the Middle East.
Following a 35th edition defined by major yacht premieres, qualified client engagement, new visitor experiences and an increased focus on measurable sustainability, the Monaco Yacht Show will return to Port Hercule for its 36th edition from 22 to 25 September 2027.
