MONACO YACHT SHOW 2024 BENETTI PRESENTS THE B. LOFT PROJECT AND THE NEW MODELS IN THE B. YOND AND MOTOPANFILO FAMILIES
Benetti confirms its commitment to supporting the sustainable lifestyle concept with eight hybrid units under construction for the B.Yond and B.Now lines.
During the press conference held at the Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo on the sidelines of the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, which has just ended with great success, Benetti presented the new developments that encapsulate the essence of the Shipyar “The House of Yachting” to the international media and its network of brokers.
CEO Marco Valle opened the conference by underscoring how the targets achieved by the Group in 2023/2024, with revenues of €1.3 billion and a backlog of €2.6 billion, have laid the groundwork for forecast growth of 15% in the coming yachting season. This goal is backed by an investment plan worth €160 million to support the company’s strategic priorities for the three-year period 2025-2027.
The Group has achieved this important milestone with the help of the excellent results reported by the Benetti division, which has an order backlog of 58 units totalling 30,900 GT, as was confirmed by Benetti Sales Director Daniela Petrozzi.
SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLE
Benetti develops the brand’s innovation around the concept of sustainable lifestyle, with an approach that combines future-forward research with the implementation of the best and most effective solutions available today.
The Shipyard has introduced state-of-the-art electrification systems that reduce fuel consumption by up to 20%. Benetti offers the widest hybrid range on the market, with 90% of models available in hybrid or diesel-electric versions. There is also razor-sharp focus on reducing energy consumption. Power Management designed to optimise the electrical loads on board, heat recovery systems and the use of direct expansion air-conditioning technology reduce service consumption on board by up to 40%
The Group has also reached an agreement with ENI, and the resulting use of HVO biofuel for all shipyard operations has reduced CO2 emissions by 1,000 tonnes/year. HVO, which is compatible with the entire Benetti range, can decrease well-to-wake emissions by up to 90% when used as the on-board fuel.
In addition, the Shipyard always fits SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems as standard for yachts under 500 GT, even though this is not required by law in this category. According to Benetti’s estimates, this choice reduces NOx emissions by 2.5 t per yacht/year, as well as allowing its yachts to be used in marine protected areas, as announced by Benetti General Manager Massimo Casoni.
During the press conference, Sebastiano Vida – Benetti Head of Product – and the designers involved presented the new B.Yond 40M and 57M, Motopanfilo 45M and B.Loft projects.
B.YOND, THE VOYAGER LINE FOR ENDLESS JOURNEYS
Benetti renews the B.Yond line, the greenest family of yachts in the category. B.Yond is evolving thanks to the collaboration with Igor Lobanov for the exterior styling and Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture for the interior design, with two different concepts that point up the identity of the new 40M and 57M. The result is a Voyager that goes beyond the concept of a traditional megayacht or extreme explorer. The B.Yond line models share an ‘explorer feeling’ on board while retaining the classic elegance of Benetti yachts, where the white hull in contrast with the grey superstructure brings both strength and elegance. The B.Yond family is designed for leisurely voyages of exploration in unspoilt areas, made possible by the advanced technology installed on board by Benetti and the hybrid-electric system, which reduce impact on the environment.
B.Yond 57M, one Voyager, three lifestyles
B.Yond 57M is designed to guarantee a range of experiences on long cruises. This model has three stern configurations: the Beach version with a generous outdoor area and pool, the Air version, with a touch&go helipad for a limitless cruising experience and the possibility of transforming this space into a veranda, and the Water version designed to stow marine exploration equipment. The extensive glazing on this 57-meter yacht lets in the sunlight, making it possible to use wood with a carbon black finish that translates into more luminous views of the water.
B.Yond 40M, innovation that expands horizons
B.Yond 40M extends across four decks, each designed for a specific function, with various possible configurations. The areas for socialising occupy about 150 square metres and are surrounded by floor-to-ceiling glazing that floods the interiors with light. On this 40-meter yacht, the different proportions of the main salon have made it possible to use a palette of paler colours, including a bleached white oak with a brushed finish that adds depth and character but also durability.
MOTOPANFILO 45M, THE NAVETTA 3.0 FOR AN EXPERIENCE OF CONVIVIALITY AND CONTACT WITH NATURE
Motopanfilo 45M, with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, is a modern revisiting of the ‘Navetta’ concept in collaboration with RWD for the exterior styling and Lazzarini & Pickering Architetti for the concept behind the interiors and exterior decks. Motopanfilo 45M introduces the Veranda Deck® concept, which reinvents the Main Deck salon by completely opening it on three sides to create a veranda overlooking the infinity pool, with sweeping vistas that extend to the horizon. The interiors/exteriors are graced by natural materials such as wicker, rattan and bamboo, which appeal to all the senses, especially sight and touch.
B.LOFT, A NEW YACHTING EXPERIENCE
Designed according to new architectural criteria, B.Loft is the new project by Cassetta Yacht Designers for Benetti, one that brings a contemporary residential feel to a megayacht. The new B.Loft introduces the Cabana on the Main Deck, a revolutionary feature that redefines the beach club concept. This panoramic area offers a 270-degree view, with fold-down wings that expand the space still further. B.Loft combines the volumes of a villa with the luminosity of a loft. The interiors are characterised by ceilings that are about four metres high, while the immense outdoor areas – some of which can be converted into interiors – provide the ultimate in flexibility and customisation options.
