MENGI YAY SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHES NB 116 – AMPHIB II
Mengi Yay has successfully launched NB 116 Amphib II at its Tuzla shipyard, marking a major milestone in the construction of the custom superyacht.

Penned by VYD Studio, with naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, Amphib II is the latest addition to Mengi Yay’s growing portfolio of bespoke superyachts. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure the yacht measures over 52 metres in length while remaining under the 500 GT threshold.
Designed for extended cruising, Amphib II delivers transatlantic capability with a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. Equipped with an approximate fuel capacity of 65,000 litres and a freshwater capacity of 15,000 litres, the yacht has been engineered to provide impressive range, autonomy and performance for long-distance voyages.

Constructed to RINA C+ Hull • Mach Ych classification, Amphib II also meets the requirements of the REG Yacht Code, Unrestricted Navigation, DMS, Ice Class 1C, Comfort Class, Green Plus and Helicopter Landing Area Certification, underscoring Mengi Yay’s focus on safety, operational efficiency, onboard comfort and environmental responsibility.
Following her launch, Amphib II will progress into the final phase of construction which includes outfitting, systems integration, harbour and sea trials before her scheduled delivery.
