M/Y “Lejos3” is the fourth Fast 125’ model delivered by Benetti

As the other yachts of the Fast 125’ models, “Iron Man”, “Constance Joy” and “Skyler”, M/Y “Lejos3” features the Azipull Carbon 65 (AZP C65), a high performance, lightweight, steerable thruster that uses carbon fibre throughout. This innovative propulsion system was designed by Rolls Royce specifically for the Fast 125’ models and delivers excellent performances in terms of both weight reduction and handling.

38.1m long and 8.23m wide, the layout of the M/Y “Lejos3” is divided across four decks, featuring four guest cabins, an owner’s suite, a saloon/dining area on the Main Deck and another smaller living area on the Upper Deck. There is also a Sun Deck, which is designed entirely for the entertainment of guests, who have the luxury of enjoying the Sun Deck’s swimming pool or the larger custom pool on the Upper Deck.

The sleek, sporty exteriors are by Stefano Righini, while the interiors by RWD. These interiors are based on Benetti’s Air configuration, the most contemporary of the three interior decoration options (Air, Land and Sea) offered to Benetti Fast 125’ owners.

The technical innovations installed on-board include the D2P Displacement to Planing® hull – designed by Pierluigi Ausonio in conjunction with the Azimut Benetti Research & Development centre – with wave piercer, which allows the yacht to be used both in displacement mode for reduced consumption at low speeds, as well as in planing mode at higher speeds, offering maximum comfort on board in both cases.

The propulsion system designed by Rolls Royce has made it possible to significantly reduce noise and vibration levels, as well as to improve handling still further. The Azipull Carbon 65 (AZP C65) is a lightweight, high performance, steerable thruster made entirely from carbon fiber, an innovation that has significantly reduced its weight and made it possible to improve the yacht’s layout. Designed for a nominal output of 2 MW, the AZP C65 is fitted with a fixed pitch pulling propeller pointing towards the bow of the yacht and has two series of conical spiral gears, installed in a mounting structure designed delivers optimum load-carrying capacity in all operating conditions. The propulsion system has hydraulic steering integrated in a compact bearing system and is installed in a specially designed and patented hull structure. An automation and control system has also been developed for it, with Rolls-Royce Marine Common Controls.
