Luminor due 3 days Titanio – 42m
The new Luminor Due 3 Days, available in brushed titanium with a polished bezel (PAM00728) or in polishedred gold (PAM00741), has a case 42 mm in diameter andonly 10.5 mm thick, almost 40% less than the models of the same diameter in the Luminor 1950 collection. The reduction in thickness makes the watches much more versatile and suitable for even the most elegant occasions, without altering the identity, proportions and distinctive features of the iconic case and its classic bridge with the lever device protecting the winding crown.
The dial of the new Luminor Due 3 Days, extremely legibleeven when there is little or no light, has a minimalist design in which the small seconds hand at 9 o’clock stands out, another aspect typical of many Panerai vintage watches. In the titanium model the dial is blue, with the sandwich structure and satinésoleil finish, while that of the red gold model is a sophisticated ivory colour with contrasting blue figures.
The back encloses a porthole protected by sapphire crystal, through which one can admire the P.1000 movement, hand wound with a power reserve of three days, entirely made in the Panerai Manufacture. In the Luminor Due 3 Days Oro Rosso the calibre is the sophisticated, skeletonized P.1000/10 version. Here the large brush-finished bridge which covers more than half the surface of the calibre has been worked to enable much of the mechanism be seen, including the two spring barrels which provide a power reserve of three days, and the balance beneath the bridge mounted on twin supports to ensure greater reliability and stability. The P.1000 movement also includes the device which stops the balance and zeroes the secondsh and when adjusting the time (seconds reset), for perfect synchronisation of the watch with a reference time signal.
The two new Luminor Due 3 Days watches are finished with blue alligator straps – darker for the titanium model and lighter for the model in gold – and they are water-resistant to 3 bar (a depth of about 30 metres). The soft strap is designed to fit every wrist, and it is easily and quickly replaced thanks to the system patented by Panerai which enables the strap bar to be removed easily by means of a little push-piece positioned under one of the lugs.
