KRISTA: A BOAT FOR ALL SHORES
It’s often said that superyachts are floating works of art. But M/Y KRISTA takes it to another level. Smooth, flush lines and clean architecture come together to deliver an artful environment that celebrates artisanal craftsmanship.
The 45m displacement motor yacht benefits from a class-compliant design package underpinned by Vripack’s award-winning naval architects. KRISTA was originally conceived for an owner who specified Italian flair combined with comfort, capability and convenience. A large factor was the ability to anchor close to shore, eliminating the need for a guest tender on the foredeck. Vripack answered with a shallow 2,0m draft, making KRISTA as well-suited to Portofino as it is to The Bahamas.
“The cool factor is it’s super shallow, which is unusual for a steel and aluminium boat,” says Bart Bouwhuis, Vripack’s co-creative director. “Compared to other 499GT boats, it gifts a lot of space with four guest cabins and one VIP suite.”
The full-beam owner’s cabin is located on the main deck forward, while the bridge deck gives way to large outdoor entertaining areas, forward and aft. On the sun deck, a lounge area with Jacuzzi, oversized sunpads and a glass skylight with uninterrupted views all the way down to the lower deck nods to the boat’s bespoke personality.
