HEESEN YACHTS LAUNCHES A 57-METRE FULL-CUSTOM SUPERYACHT
Heesen Yachts launches 57-metre full-custom superyacht Project Setteesettanta. YN 20857 enters the water at Heesen’s Oss shipyard for experienced returning owners.
Heesen Yachts has celebrated the launch of Project Setteesettanta (YN 20857), a 57-metre full-custom, all-aluminium superyacht, from its shipyard in Oss, the Netherlands. Measuring 920 GT, the yacht has been purpose-built for experienced owners returning to the Dutch shipyard for their second Heesen, with a design focused on creating memorable experiences at sea with family and friends.

Drawing on their experience from their first Heesen project, the owners approached the new build with a clear vision of the lifestyle they wanted on board. Every aspect of the yacht reflects their priorities, from the shallow 2.3-metre draft that allows access to secluded anchorages to expansive outdoor living spaces and the comfort to enjoy extended stays at anchor. Throughout the project, the owners’ requirements remained the driving force behind every design decision.
Cristiano Gatto once again led the interior design while also serving as the owners’ representative during the construction process.

Speaking about the launch, Cristiano Gatto said: “Watching this yacht finally enter the water is an emotional milestone. Every detail of the interior was designed from the ground up and refined with exceptional care. While renderings help shape a vision, nothing compares to seeing the finished yacht exactly as imagined. I am sincerely grateful to the owners for the confidence they placed in our team throughout this extraordinary project.”

The yacht’s entire upper deck has been dedicated exclusively to the owners. Positioned forward, the master suite enjoys panoramic 180-degree views and direct access to a private terrace spanning nearly 200 square metres, which also serves as a touch-and-go helipad. A VIP suite is located on the main deck alongside a fully equipped gym, while the lower deck accommodates four additional guest cabins, comprising two doubles and two twins.

Connecting all four decks is an elegant oval staircase, while the main-deck dining area seamlessly extends onto the aft terrace through expansive sliding glass doors, creating a strong connection between the interior and exterior spaces.
Project Setteesettanta also introduces a first for Heesen, with the bridge positioned on the fourth deck. This innovative arrangement creates an additional observation deck above the owners’ accommodation while maintaining the yacht’s sleek profile through a lightweight mast designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects and low-profile Starlink panels replacing conventional satellite domes.

At the stern, a dramatic double staircase frames a four-metre infinity pool before descending to the swim platform. Extensive testing at Southampton’s Wolfson Unit confirmed the hull’s efficiency, enabling the yacht to achieve a top speed of 18 knots using twin MTU 16V2000M72 engines producing 1,440 kW each. She also offers a transatlantic cruising range of approximately 3,900 nautical miles at 12 knots.
On board comfort is further enhanced by Quantum F45 electric/hydraulic hybrid stabilisers, while the yacht’s bespoke interior showcases Heesen’s craftsmanship, with all joinery produced at the company’s Winterswijk facility. The marble finishes were personally selected by the owners in Verona.

Jeroen van der Meer, CEO of Heesen, commented: “Welcoming these owners back for a second Heesen is a tremendous honour and a reflection of the trust they place in our team. Returning clients continually challenge us to push our capabilities further, inspiring innovation across every stage of the build. From naval architecture to the handcrafted interiors created in our own carpentry workshop, this project highlights the expertise and dedication of our people. We are proud to have delivered another exceptional yacht for these valued owners.”

Following her launch, Project Setteesettanta will remain at the Oss facility while final commissioning work is completed before heading to the North Sea later this summer for sea trials. Delivery is scheduled for the end of December 2026.
