DLBA designs available for immediate production
The 28’ Carolina Center Console design is a 13,000 lb fiberglass boat with outboard motors. The vessel was designed for engine packages ranging from a single 300 hp outboard motor to twin 350 hp outboards and is a true offshore boat, made to withstand rough weather. Besides being sound mechanically and structurally, her Carolina style is pleasing to the eye, with subtle but noticeable tumblehome aft and appreciable flare forward. She is performance-ready, whether you are interested in a die-hard hard fishing boat or a fun-in-the sun family cruiser.
The 40’ Downeaster Sportfisherman design has already been put to the test in Curaçao where the owner of hull number one is winning tournaments with this fishing machine. DLBA is hopeful that the tournament win will not turn out to be an isolated incident, and looks forward to further updates from her happy owner.
Designed for heavy offshore use, she is diesel-powered with a sturdy, cold-molded hull built on jig frames. The hull features propeller tunnels to minimize draft without impacting performance. Her exceptional naval architecture and marine engineering are cleverly packaged in her distinctive downeast style and layout. The result is a look that is striking and unique; an evolution and improvement on vessels which have come before her.
Both designs are ready to be tailored to suit the owner’s preferences and construction can begin immediately. DLBA looks forward to working with those interested in bringing either of these foundational designs to life.
