CANTIERE DELLE MARCHE DELIVERS EXPLORER YACHT

Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche is proud to announce the launch of M/Y “Gra Nil”, the new 86 feet Explorer vessel in steel and alluminium built by Cantiere delle Marche and designed by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec.
This is the fifth delivery of the Darwin Class line, launched by the Shipyard in 2011. Cantiere delle Marche is going to deliver by next August 2014 the first two explorer yachts of the new line “CdM Nauta Air”, designed by Mario Pedol and Massimo Gino of Nauta Yacht Design: Nauta Air 86 and Nauta Air 90. The two yachts will be officially presented during the next Boat Shows of the season 2014.
Vasco Buonpensiere, Cantiere delle Marche shareholder and sales director comments: “This is a very important year for CdM. This is the fifth delivery from the beginning and comes after two signed contracts, so this is a wonderful way to celebrate CdM success and dynamism”.
Ennio Cecchini, CdM shareholder and CEO, adds: ”I personally experienced this long and exciting process that has brought us this success: I think the winning formula has been the full involvement of the client since the beginning, and I would like to thank him from all of us. It will be a very special Darwin Class indeed and we are all looking forward to seeing it cruising the Oceans!’.
M/Y “Gra Nil” totally matches the Darwin Class’ technical features, designed and engineered by Hydro Tec/Sergio Cutolo: the extra-thick steel plates, the treatment systems for bilge, black and grey water used also on commercial ships for H24/365 work, the remote controlled valves, the automatic parallel device for gensets’ management, two independent rudders are only a few of the standard features which make the Darwin Class stand out since its presentation to the market.
In this particular case, the client had the opportunity to customize both the tecnical specifications and his new yacht’s interior design already during the contract’s negotiation. Architect Pierluigi Floris created stylish and refined spaces that can host all the pieces of the client’s family collection of contemporary art. The colours of the chosen materials go from beige to grey, intensifying till the gunmetal grey of the hull. The free standing contemporary furniture harmoniously contrasts the sober lines of the interiors.
All the lower deck, following the owner’s request, is very bright, thanks to the portholes which have been doubled, compared to the ones of the standard Darwin Class 86’ line. The sky lounge on the upper deck is a wide space dedicated to the entertainment, with hi-fi, rollaway tv and other domotic devices, that can be enjoyed by an unusual number of guests for a boat of this size.

More, the Transformer swim platform, the dehumidifier interiors system, sophisticated perimetral anti intrusion system, and an openable hard top are just some examples of the requested customizations that the shipyard successfully implemented in its standard specs.
