ALEWIJNSE JOINS THE OCEANCO GROUP
Oceanco is proud to announce that Alewijnse, a leading electrical systems integrator with a heritage spanning over 135 years, is now part of the Oceanco Group. This follows the acquisition of Alewijnse by Oceanco’s new shareholder, Gabe Newell, founder of Valve Corporation, and the visionary behind the private research initiative Inkfish. This milestone strengthens the Group’s capabilities and unites companies that share a commitment to innovation and long- term impact.
Oceanco and Alewijnse have been working together on groundbreaking yacht projects since the 90’s and this longstanding relationship laid the foundation for a common vision for the future. Over the past several years and under the guidance of Strong Root Capital, Alewijnse has evolved into a high-performing business with a strong presence across various sectors, including yachting, naval and governmental, dredging, offshore, and industrial.
Alewijnse will continue to operate with the same team, leadership and strategic direction. As part of the Oceanco Group, which also includes Lateral, Mercury and Aluship, it is positioned to unlock new opportunities for innovation and growth, drawing on the combined expertise and capabilities of a diverse group of industry leaders.
