New AMELS 242 sold

Dutch luxury yacht builder AMELS is very pleased to announce the sale of a 74-metre AMELS 242 superyacht (242 ft) from its Limited Editions range. Announced shortly before the Monaco Yacht Show, the sale strongly celebrates the value, quality and sophistication that AMELS offers for large yachts.

The sale of the AMELS 242 with a Tim Heywood exterior design was completed with Merle Wood & Associates representing the buyer.

“This yacht will once again show a different character to any of our previous AMELS Limited Editions deliveries,” comments Rutger Dolk, part of the AMELS commercial team. “The ability to adapt the proven platform to the client’s wishes is why our Limited Editions approach is working so well. The extremely comfortable and quiet platform with renowned level of quality and combined with a fast delivery creates a very attractive proposition.”

Since the delivery of the first AMELS 242 three years ago, the AMELS 242 has quickly become the world’s most successful yacht in the 75-metre segment (approximately 250 ft). The next available AMELS 242 (pictured) is ready to be customised and lined up for delivery mid-2020. The AMELS 242 features:

  • an entire private 374 square-metre Owners Deck (4,026 sq ft) with spectacular forward-facing Stateroom
  • a large swimming pool
  • and the award-winning full beam midships wellness and relaxing spa area with a unique 19.5 square metre folding beach platform (210 sq ft).
