Piaget opens boutique in Dubai
Piaget recently opened the doors to its 3rd boutique in the UAE at Mall of the Emirates, in the presence of the brand’s Middle Eastern Ambassador, Arab singer Yara and the CEO of Piaget, Mr. Philippe Leopold-Metzger. The newly opened boutique, which is the 8th one in the region, is one of the few Piaget boutiques worldwide to carry a section solely dedicated to the brand’s bridal collections. The ribbon-cutting by the guests of honor was carried out in front of an audience consisting of select media and VIP guests.
Speaking out on the opening, Yara said, “I am extremely pleased and honoured to be present on this momentous occasion. As an Arab woman who has been involved in a diversity of Arab weddings, I can vouch for it that a Piaget creation is truly the most ideal and beautiful wedding gift for the Arab bride!”
Piaget’s Brand Director, Mr. Jean-Marc Shammas further added, “Needless to say, the inauguration of Piaget’s new boutique is an extremely proud moment for us but what gives us even more pleasure is that this boutique is one of the few with a dedicated bridal section. I am confident now that with this new boutique, we will revive the once popular saying that ‘An Arab wedding is incomplete without a Piaget creation being gifted.’”
Following the style and spirit of Piaget boutiques worldwide, the new boutique too flaunts the architectural concept that was created by Christine Querlioz in 2012. Christine Querlioz’s concept is an invitation to embark on a pleasant journey through the universe of Piaget. The architecture and ambiance conveys discreet elegance that is sensed rather than obvious, making it a true tribute to the Swiss identity of the brand. The boutique is clothed in black and gold as contrasting materials in gloss and matte perfectly complement the dramatic lighting that falls on the pieces in the boutique. Inspired by the Viennese Secession period, the boutique is a reiteration of the precision and meticulousness that goes into the crafting of each piece from the house of the glorious watchmaker. A blend of openness and hospitality is rife in the boutique as visitors get to experience the assortment of creations through great bay windows as they enter a world full of beauty and art. While the boutique has a dedicated bridal section, it also houses the different collections and creations from Piaget.
