2026 WORLD YACHT TROPHIES THE AMER 42 EXPLORER “EVEN FURTHER” AWARDED THE GREEN YACHT TROPHY IN CANNES
A new milestone has been achieved by the new Amer 42 Explorer “Even Further” has been awarded the prestigious Green Yacht Trophy at the 2026 World Yachts Trophies, presented during the official awards ceremony at the Carlton Cannes on 12 September 2026.
Now in its 25th edition, the World Yachts Trophies celebrate the most outstanding motor yachts and superyachts launched throughout the year. Organised by SG Publications, publisher of Yachts France, Yachts Italia and Yachts Europe, the annual gala brings together leading figures from across the international yachting industry and presents around thirty awards to yachts ranging from 13 to 140 metres.
The Green Yacht Trophy represents an important recognition of Amer Yachts’ continued commitment to innovation, efficiency and more responsible yacht design. The award considers key criteria including efficient and hybrid propulsion technologies, reduced fuel consumption and emissions and the integration of more sustainable materials and onboard systems.
For Amer 42 Explorer “Even Further,” the award reflects an engineering philosophy in which long-range capability, performance and luxury are achieved alongside exceptional efficiency.

A New Generation of Explorer as the first custom steel superyacht launched by the shipyard, the Amer 42 Explorer represents a significant evolution for Amer Yachts within the explorer segment. Designed inside and out by Louis DeBasto, the yacht brings together advanced functionality, long-range capability and refined contemporary aesthetics.
Measuring 41.45 metres, with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, “Even Further” is powered by the Volvo Penta Professional Platform, featuring two IPS40 drives and four D13 engines.
During its first open-sea trials, the yacht recorded fuel consumption of just 60 litres of diesel per hour in Eco Mode, operating on two of the four engines connected to the drives.
The figure is particularly significant considering the yacht’s capabilities: a full-load displacement of 440 tonnes, accommodation for up to 19 guests and crew, a range of approximately 8,900 nautical miles and the capacity to carry two 8-metre tenders.
Despite these substantial specifications, “Even Further” achieves fuel consumption levels lower than those of many significantly smaller leisure yachts a result of the naval engineering expertise of Amer Yachts and Optima Design.
Designed to go further the yacht’s layout has been developed around the practical requirements of true exploration. Two 8-metre tenders, jet skis and a dedicated helicopter landing area provide exceptional flexibility and facilitate rapid transfers, even when cruising in remote destinations.
The tender arrangement also highlights one of the yacht’s distinctive engineering solutions cranes integrated directly into the superstructure, designed to enable fast and safe launch and recovery operations while remaining adaptable to vessels of different sizes.

Another defining design decision is the absence of a conventional lower-deck beach club. Instead, the available volume has been dedicated to an exceptionally generous 17-metre flybridge. Representing more than 40% of the yacht’s overall length, this expansive space becomes one of the principal areas for relaxation, entertainment and open-air living on board.
Explorer capability, yacht elegance the exterior design balances the strength and functionality expected of an explorer yacht with the elegance and proportions of a contemporary luxury yacht.
At approximately 42 metres in length and 9.80 metres in beam, “Even Further” combines compact proportions with generous onboard volumes. Expansive aft outdoor spaces dedicated to socialising give the yacht an elegant profile particularly suited to Mediterranean cruising, while its explorer character becomes increasingly apparent on closer inspection.
A high bow, innovative hull design and highly efficient propulsion system reveal a vessel engineered for extended cruising and reduced environmental impact.
The wheelhouse further expresses this functional character. Positioned forward with commanding views over the tender deck, it features a full-height, forward-raked windshield designed to provide sun protection while offering exceptional 270-degree visibility. A distinctive floating dashboard introduces a sophisticated, futuristic element to the helm environment.
Refined living at sea the interior arrangement has been carefully planned to maximise comfort, functionality and privacy. The engine room is positioned aft, with guest accommodation amidships and crew quarters forward.
On the main deck, the salon and dining area are connected by an impressive atrium featuring a glass staircase. The upper deck offers al fresco dining, a sky lounge and the wheelhouse, while the helipad is positioned above the foredeck.
Above, the expansive flybridge provides dedicated areas for sunbathing, seating, dining, a bar and lounge, creating an exceptional setting for relaxation and panoramic open-air observation.
The interiors complete the yacht’s distinctive identity. Guided by Louis DeBasto’s design language, a refined palette of light tones, sophisticated materials and carefully considered textures enhances natural light throughout the spaces, creating an atmosphere that is contemporary, elegant and understated.
With the Green Yacht Trophy, the Amer 42 Explorer “Even Further” demonstrates how the capabilities of a true explorer yacht can be combined with sophisticated design, exceptional range and a new approach to efficiency embodying Amer Yachts’ ambition to continue pushing the boundaries of responsible luxury yachting.
