As official timekeeper, Longines ensured that elegance was rife at the exciting tournaments that took place at the Ghantout Polo & Equestrian Club.

Longines recently presented the President of the UAE Show Jumping Cup and the second leg of the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup 2015. During these chock-full four days, the public had the opportunity to witness exhilarating moments of action at the equestrian competitions.

The second leg of the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup saw the Qatar team comprising of Ali Yousef Al Rumaihi, Khalid Al Emadi, Chef d’Equipe Willem Meeus, Bassan Hassan Mohammed and Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani emerge victorious, closely followed by the team from Ukraine in 2nd and Egypt in 3rd.

The final day of the President Cup ended on a high note with the first time victory of a UAE rider, Sheikha Latifa Al Maktoum, followed by Lars Nieberg from Germany in 2nd place and Abdelrkebir Ouaddar from Morocco in 3rd place. Sheikha Latifa was awarded an elegant Conquest Classic Longines timepiece in Steel and diamond.

Dedicated to Longines’ passion for equestrian sports, the Conquest Classic Moonphase in Steel was the official watch of the event. The Longines Conquest Classic Moonphases in Steel was named the official watch of the elegant event. The Conquest Classic collection is dedicated to equestrian sports enthusiasts who are not willing to compromise on elegance and thus made for the perfect watch to officiate the event. With a diameter of 42 mm, this chronograph houses the self-winding mechanical chronograph movement L678. The case is available in steel, in steel and rose gold cap or in 18 carats rose gold. The black or silvered dial is set with 9 applied indices coated with Super-LumiNova® and makes an elegantly contrasting background to the moon phase display. It features the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, the 24-hour indicator and the subdial for the seconds at 9 o’clock, as well as the 30-minute counter and the day-and-month display at 12 o’clock. The date is indicated by a half-moon central hand. Water-resistant to 5 bar, these models display a transparent case back through which its scintillating movement can be observed. These chronographs are fitted on a black alligator strap or a steel or steel and rose gold cap bracelet, all having a triple folding safety clasp.

As the memorable tournaments drew to a close, Longines ensured that it left its characteristic mark of elegance on every equestrian event it keeps time for.
