YARE 2021: THE INTERNATIONAL YACHTING EVENT DEDICATED TO REFIT AND AFTERSALES HAS JUST ENDED IN VIAREGGIO

Viareggio 25th October 2021 – Over 1,000 meetings held in the two sessions dedicated to business matching that allowed companies in the sector (shipyards and refit yards, services and suppliers) to come into close contact with Superyacht captains, tours in the yachting districts and visits to shipyards, technical workshops.

Closed on Saturday, with the appendix of the mini cycle tour to discover the Lands of Giacomo Puccini organized by Lucca Promos, the eleventh edition of YARE (Yachting Aftersales and Refit Experience) – the international business event of the yachting industry organized in Viareggio by NAVIGO, service center for the innovation and development of boating.

250 participants in the event in presence with 70 Superyacht captains and 60 international companies who, during the two days, were able to deepen thematic topics on the sector during the workshops and the forum: new refit projects, development of new propulsions, ground services edge, cybersecurity, innovation and sustainability, legal and financial aspects of management.

For the collateral events, the Passerelle Pitch, an award dedicated to the innovative projects of the companies participating in YARE which was assigned, by the public and captains jury, to Marinepool and its CEO Robert Stark for the technical / nautical clothing collection “Ocean collection, yes we care” created by the German company with sustainable and recycled certified materials and fabrics.

During YARE, the MED NEW JOB workshop, the European Interreg Maritime Italy France project on new professional figures in pleasure boating organized by NAVIGO, was also proposed. The focus was attended both in presence and via Zoom, the partners including the regions of Tuscany, Liguria and Sardinia, the Collectivitè de Corse, the Paca French Region. The focus involved the companies present at YARE (production and refit yards, supply and service companies, ports and marinas) which responded to the issues related to the new professional figures of the industry. In the afternoon, the workshop participants visited the yachting district of the Darsena with a tour of the Overmarine shipyards, Polo Nautico and the Yacht Broker marina.
