The St Regis Downtown, Dubai Now Open
The St Regis Downtown, Dubai is now open. The hotel is a reflagging of the previous Renaissance Downtown, also a Marriott property.
Intending to “amply its luxury presence”, in April Marriott signed a new agreement with RDK Tourism Investment LLC, the property’s developers, to transform it.
“Dubai’s downtown district is a sought-after destination for global travellers and showcases the Emirate’s innovative vision, making it an ideal location for the St. Regis brand’s avant-garde style and highly personalized service,” said Candice D’Cruz, VP – luxury brands, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International. “This opening is an exquisite addition to our illustrious portfolio of luxury properties in the region and perfectly unites the spirit of the city with the timeless glamour of St. Regis.”
“We are looking forward to offering guests exquisite experiences that are steeped in history along with the brand’s iconic anticipatory service, which is purposefully tailored for each one of our global tastemakers,” said Raja Zeidan, GM The St. Regis Downtown Dubai. “The St. Regis Downtown, Dubai will provide a distinct point of view on luxury hospitality in one of the city’s most exclusive districts, and will offer global luminaries the chance to enjoy the cherished hallmarks of the St. Regis brand.”
What makes the St Regis Downtown different?
St. Regis is one of the group’s most luxurious brands, with the new property set to receive its own butler service, renovations across its lobby, and a new Astor Ballroom. This ballroom will help cement the hotel as a go-to destination for iconic celebrations, said Marriott. While the new interiors will create a more residential feel for guests.
F&B outlets include The Library, BASTA!, Bleu Blane Oysters & Grill and the St. Regis bar.
It will be the fourth St. Regis in the UAE, joining The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi and The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm.
The new opening on Palm Jumeirah
Located in the island’s new Palm Tower, the new hotel occupies the first 18 floors of the 52-story skyscraper. There are 246 guest rooms and 26 suites, four dining options, two infinity pools, an Iridium Spa and a ballroom. Paying homage to its location, the hotel’s ground floor has a chandelier inspired by a palm tree.
