The Monaco Yacht Show joins forces with the Event Committee of the 2nd edition of the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean, that will be held on the terraces of Opera Garnier on the opening day of the Monaco Yacht Show, Wednesday 26 September 2018.
Chaired by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, the Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean will bring together international artists and renowned philanthropists committed to actions for marine protection.
Organised by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the event will present an auction of exceptional lots: unique experiences, collection objects and a selection of art pieces signed by the most famous artists to support the Foundation’s initiatives for sustainable oceans.
Partner with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation since 2010, the Monaco Yacht Show supports its actions by raising the worldwide superyachting community’s awareness especially on the “Wood Forever” program that endorses the use of wood certified as originating from sustainably-managed forests.
Since its creation in 2006, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has placed the ocean issue at the core of its actions: better understanding the environmental dangers that oceans are coping with, fighting against plastic pollution, protecting threatened species, promoting new and sustainable solutions for oceans, reinforcing and developing the protected marine areas.
