Sirena Yachts chose the 2018 Miami Yacht Show to unveil further details of their new flagship, Sirena85, that marks the entering the superyacht market. The construction of this 26 meter long superyacht has already on process at the Turkish shipyard.
The new Sirena 85is designed by two of the best designers on the international scene: FrersNaval Architecture & Engineering for the naval architecture and exterior design, while Cor D Rover Design is responsible for the interiors.
Sirena 85 lines are the evolution of the sleek styling that has always characterized Sirena Yachts and their discerning attention to the disposition and illumination of every space onboard. The hull is in glass fiber, while the superstructure is in carbon, guaranteeing both light weight and solidity.
Naval architecture and exterior design by German Frers
A glance is sufficient to confirm the characteristic family-feel of the Turkish yard’s motor-yacht range, designed by German Frersand featuring outdoor areas to fully enjoy the surrounding environment. “The new larger member of the fleet represents a continuation of the design and building program,” stated German Frers, naval architect and head of exterior design and engineering. “The hull characteristics and design are an evolution of her smaller sister: low resistance and a sea kindly hull that performs efficiently and with a minimum of fuel consumption through all speed ranges. The maximum speed will be in the order of 26 knots, depending on the final
power plant selected from among the options offered. In spite of her long over all dimensions she qualifies under 24.00 meters L.O.A.Cruising range will be more than 2,500 miles at 10 knots. Interior volumes are considerable and incorporate a full-width master suite on the upper deck equipped with a balcony opening over the sea. Accommodations are an owner’s suite plus four in-suite cabins, one of them a very large VIP guest suite. The fully equipped bridge is independent and separated from the rest of the interior accommodations, with direct access to a double helm on the ample flybridge.”
The dipping pool on the foredeck is worthy of note, with private access for the owner directly from his suite; in this area the owner may opt instead for a spacious sunbathing area with breakfast table. The flybridge is almost completely protected by a retractable hardtop. Here we have a helm position, a table that seats up to ten guests, a fully equipped bar and galley and a spacious relaxation area astern, with settees that convert into sun-bathing platforms.
Interiors design by Cor D Rover
The yard offers two different versions of the interiors designed by Cor D Rover. They feature either four or five cabin layouts, both with a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck that includes a private terrace overlooking the sea in addition to private access to the dipping pool.
“Our interior design philosophy is based upon an inseparable link between the inside and the outside of the yacht,” referred Cor D Rover.“Nothing brings nature more into our designs than these large windows. Daylight brightens up the unique, luxurious and comfortable interiors and make you feel as if you are on board a super yacht.”
The main deck also hosts a spacious salon with a C-shaped sofa on the left, facing a second settee for three: the entire area becomes almost one with the cockpit and a table for eight to ten guests. The interior table for ten is set amidships, with the huge, perfectly equipped galley on the left, with direct access from the dinette or the exterior walkway. Full size sliding glass windows on both sides assure lots of fresh air and the feel of the natural sea breeze when at anchor.
The lower deck includes four VIP cabins, the one amidships is full-beam. The garage astern for the tender is very spacious and can be transformed into an authentic beach club. The crew’s quarters are completely separate from the guest area and include two twin cabins, one bathroom and direct access to the engine room.
Sirena 85 is powered by two 1,400 hp MAN V12, delivering a top speed of 25 knots and an incredible cruising range of over 2,500 miles at 10 knots.
