SANYA SETS SAIL: 2025 CICPE SANYA BOAT FESTIVAL SHOWCASES HAINAN’S NEW HEIGHTS IN YACHTING
Sanya, often dubbed “the city of a thousand yachts,” is charting a bold new course for China’s luxury maritime lifestyle. From April 15–18, 2025, the coastal city will host the Sanya Boat Festival, the official on-water venue of the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE), underscoring its rising prominence in the Asia-Pacific yachting map.
The 2025 CICPE Sanya Boat Festival is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Hainan Province, and organized by the Hainan International Economic Development Bureau and the People’s Government of Sanya. It serves as a vital showcase and implementation platform for yacht-related policies under the Hainan Free Trade Port initiative.
Covering a total area of 166,800㎡—including over 148,000㎡ on water—the show spans three world-class marinas: Sanya International Yacht Center, Visun International Marina, and Serenity Coast Marina. With 150 yachts on display and 45 exhibitors expected, it stands as one of the largest on-water boat shows in the Asia-Pacific region.
This year’s festival is centered on the innovative “Yacht +” concept, merging marine lifestyle, fashion culture, investment, and watersports into a dynamic and immersive showcase. Guests will witness Vera Wang’s haute couture debut on a floating runway—an opulent fusion of elegance and ocean. They’ll also experience romance aboard rose-themed yachts, or dive beneath the waves for an adventure combining luxury yachting with undersea exploration—capturing the essence of modern marine aesthetics and leisure.
Beyond the lifestyle experience, the festival features a lineup of standout moments: the “Blue Innovation” exhibition unveils cutting-edge water toys and marine technologies; a Clipper Race ambassador shares the extraordinary journey between everyday people and the sea; and the “Sanya Boat Night” investment salon brings together top industry figures and HNWIs. With fishing tournaments, sailing regattas, and water stunt shows, Sanya’s harbor will come alive like never before with global maritime energy.
