Sanlorenzo is a partner of “LericiPea Golfo dei Poeti Award 2019”
A symbol of nautical excellence, Sanlorenzo once again confirms its particular creative design approach that has made contamination a truly distinctive value, acting as a partner of the LericiPea Golfo dei Poeti Award, an annual appointment for the promotion, spread and enhancement of poetic excellence in Italy and the world, held in Lerici on 28-29 September.
Breaking down boundaries and shaking off dogmas and imposed rules, over the years Sanlorenzo has decided to open its doors to new creative languages, different and multiple forms of expression, including art and design, to counter the rigidity of the yachting sector.
“It is an honor to be able to support this illustrious prize that not only protects and promotes poetic excellence in Italy and the world, but also sustains culture and territorial identity. Liguria, and particularly the splendid zone of the Golfo dei Poeti, is the territory that has hosted our shipyard throughout its history, and that has allowed us – thanks to the skill of outstanding local artisans – to create projects of great quality and peerless refinement, recognized and coveted all over the world.
The bond with the Ligurian territory, which has witnessed the entire path of growth that has taken us to the top of international production of yachts and superyachts, is thus fundamental in the life and story of Sanlorenzo. Connecting us even more closely with Premio LericiPea, there is also the desire to promote Italian excellence in the world on a daily basis.” Cav. Massimo Perotti, Chairman of Sanlorenzo.
Confirming these strong ties to the territory, Sanlorenzo has also decided to sponsor the construction of the new “Walk of Poetry” that will be opened on 29 September along the promenade between Rotonda Pertini at San Terenzo and Rotonda Vassallo at Lerici, named for the poet, writer and playwright Sem Benelli. To mark the 70th anniversary of his death, 30 commemorative plaques will be positioned, honoring the poets who have won the LericiPea “Award for the career” from 1991 to 2019, as well as six totems bearing the names of the poets who have won the LericiPea Award from 1954 to 1990.
For the 65th edition, the prestigious LericiPea Golfo dei Poeti poetry award has been assigned for the career to Antonio Colinas, one of the most outstanding voices of European poetry of the last fifty years. The prize ceremony will be held at Villa Marigola on 29 September at 18.00, with the presence of local dignitaries and the Ambassador of Spain in Rome, Alfonso Dastis.
