Royal Huisman – Pushing the Boundaries
The aim: to create the ultimate world performance cruising sloop.
The means: an extraordinarily advanced sloop that will radically push the boundaries of operating systems and integrated rig technologies to set new benchmarks for performance and efficiency.
The result: A sleek and powerful sailing yacht of iconic, imaginative design, which will marry unprecedented performance with luxurious and innovative amenities.
So what about the team?
The cast of players is as expert, innovative and respected as might be expected of such a project: Naval Architecture and exterior design by the renowned Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design; Interior Architecture by acclaimed French design house Liaigre; Integrated Rig Package from Southern Spars complimented by Rondal captive winches; inhouse engineering and build by Royal Huisman. Owner’s representation by Gregory Monks, bringing a wealth of experience to his oversight of the project.
Project 404’s Alustar aluminium hull and low profile carbon composite superstructure provide a proven structural platform for a truly modern yacht with a wealth of innovative systems developments. By embracing powerful emerging technologies that will become game-changers for the next generation of superyachts, the aim is to optimise every aspect of this impressive project – leaving no technological stone unturned.
Throughout Royal Huisman’s superyacht-building history, the shipyard has embraced what it calls “the spirit of individuality”. Truly, this is a project that plays to the very heart of that spirit.
