Rethinking boating: Cranchi Yachts proposals and news for the 2020/2021 season
The new boating season promises to be full of news for Cranchi Yachts which increasingly proves to be ready to face the challenges of modernism with a creative, open and innovative attitude. An approach capable of appreciating experience (the Shipyard has celebrated 150 years of history this year) but with an eye on the future; focused on their skills and at the same time on the propensity to listen and compare both with the proposals of the partners and with customer feedback.
Cranchi Yachts’ attitude to creative thinking is manifested in the new products as the most recent innovations powerfully demonstrate both in the entry level segment with the two E26 – Classic and Rider – and with the E30 Endurance and at the high end with the sensational debut in January 2020 of the Cranchi 78ft Settantotto, the new flagship of the Shipyard.
A42 Luxury Tender
In the new season Cranchi Yachts is preparing to present an innovative project in the segment between 40 and 50 feet. Once again it is a yacht that makes its own category: the A42 Luxury Tender is a large luxury tender with unusual and distinctive characteristics that make it ideal also as a dayboat or express cruiser.
The A42 Luxury Tender exalts the fundamental principle of walk-arounds: total freedom of movement without obstacles around the central elements of the cockpit which for this yacht are the large aft sundeck and the sporty pilot console with triple seat in the center of the boat. Whether you use it for a transfer, a day trip or for a longer cruise, this freedom of movement offers practicality, comfort and a sense of pleasure. Aesthetic qualities are confirmed by the design choices that favour soft lines and draw large surfaces and generous dimensions.
The cockpit looks like a large open space in which some winning features stand out. Starting with the beautiful hard top that completes the elegant line of the windscreen. From a perceptive point of view it is truly unique how this element of the superstructure appears light when compared to the lines of the hull and at the same time capable of giving character and more personality. The hard top offers protection and shelter from the sun at the console and above all in living area which can thus be experienced at any time of the day, always with maximum freedom: the rigid roof in fact opens in seconds with a blade system derived from the highest range yachts. At the bow there is a second sundeck which, thanks to a configuration that recalls the classic Portuguese bridge, proves perfect as an additional seat.
But the most surprising element is discovered at the aft in the area dominated by the large sundeck. At the end of the boat, in fact, there are two side that can be instantly opened with a servo-electric mechanism to consistently enlarge the walkable surface of the cockpit, thus creating an additional projecting area on the water, in complete continuity with the cockpit flooring and well connected with the platform, which can also be moved in the up and down direction and in the transverse direction. The A42 Luxury Tender thus offers its guests a real terrace overlooking the sea; a perfect place for relaxation, fun, sunbathing and diving into the waves.
Under the aft sundeck there is a garage that can accommodate a tender up to two meters in length and the swimming platform with double movement proves to be very useful for facilitating the launching and re-entry of the boat.
As is clear, this yacht invites you to outdoor life but this does not mean that the Shipyard has neglected the spaces below deck which is also designed according to open principles and with extremely functional convertible solutions. The dinette can be transformed into a sleeping area which is added to the comfortable cabin. The bathroom has a separate shower stall.
There are numerous solutions both below and in the cockpit to facilitate the connection with electronic devices, watertight USB sockets, universal wireless charger for smartphones and audio and entertainment systems that can be managed from any position.
The A42 Luxury Tender is designed with IPS (inboard propulsion system) engine but with a view to guaranteeing the greatest satisfaction of shipowners with different needs and tastes it is extremely likely that a version with outboard engines will also be put into production.
The colors of the hull and the décor elements can be customised with the Cranchi Atelier program to make the style of this yacht inspired by the savoir-vivre and appeal of Mediterranean culture even more unique.
Cranchi Sessantasette
A further debut is expected in the second half of the season with a yacht that will enrich the new Cranchi flybridge range.
With a length over all that exceeds 67 feet (20.8 meters), the new model will be called Sessantasette, like the number, written in full and in Italian. It is the same principle for which the shipyard’s flagship is called Settantotto, meaning that this yacht gives much more than its length might suggest. It offers the best of Made in Italy design and style, superior technical solutions and an unmistakable and already iconic line.
The family feeling with the Cranchi Settantotto is very strong. The project is presented in collaboration with the Research Center of Cranchi Yachts and Christian Grande who is entrusted with the art direction. The lines are emblematic and complement each other, they refer to the different elements of the profile. For example, between the curve of the stern hatch and the projecting part of the fly or between the cut of the windows and the break in the center of the wall.
With the knowledge of the Cranchi Settantotto, the new Sessantasette also derives its extraordinary technological equipment with the adoption of hi-tech materials as well as a construction technique that has no equal in the world. The yacht will thus offer the highest safety standards and the best solutions for stabilisation, containment of consumption and emissions, noise reduction and home automation and entertainment systems.
Cranchi Private Shows
Rethinking boating does not only mean designing new models but also imagining innovative services and unprecedented experiences for shipowners; experiences that make fans rediscover the freedom to choose.
The need for social distancing and the request for increasingly unique and personalised moments convinced Cranchi Yachts to organize the Cranchi Private Shows format, a private boat show and a long event that will begin at the end of the summer and will last throughout the autumn. Fans interested in purchasing a yacht will be able to view the Cranchi range and test their favorite models at sea.
The event will take place at the Marine Test Center, in San Giorgio di Nogaro on the Adriatic Sea the first permanent showroom of Cranchi Yachts located in a splendid natural setting which can be easily reached from the airports of Milan, Venice and Trieste. The owners will be welcomed individually, with their family or in small groups. An exclusive, private and safe environment. All spaces and all yachts will be completely sanitised before each test and every visit, according to correct protocols and through the use of ozone sanitisers also used in the medical field.
The event will be organized in collaboration with the Cranchi Yachts dealer network and customers can make contact for appointments. Guests of Private Shows will also be able to discover Cranchi Atelier, the Cranchi Yachts customisation program and to see up close the samples of colors for the hulls, fabrics and essences available for their favorite models.
Cranchi Marine Division
Precisely because of the growing attention to the services and spaces in which to offer them, Cranchi Yachts has decided to accelerate the development plans of its Marine Division. During this season a new showroom will be created in Costa Smeralda, twin of the Marine Test Center and equipped not only for sea trials but also for refitting, hauling, launching and pre-delivery inspections.
In 2021, therefore, Cranchi Yachts will celebrate three debuts: the A42 Luxury Tender, the Sessantasette and the new showroom in Sardinia.
