Port Vauban Under New Management
Since the 1st of January 2017 the biggest pleasure harbour in Europe, Port Vauban is under new management.
In early 2016 the city of Antibes launched a DSP (public delegation contract) to find a trustee for the management of Port Vauban and Port Gallice.
Vauban 21 has been entrusted with the management of Port Vauban and Port Gallice for the next 25 and 15 years respectively.
The partners of Vauban 21 SAS are:
Chamber of Commerce and Industry: at the head of a network of 4 500 businessesaffiliated to the Yachting industry between Nice and Cannes and Manager of theRiviera Ports network
Caisse des Depots: the leading national operator of French state initiatives and ofterritorial development on the Côte d’Azur with over 156 billion Euros of assets
Caissed’Epargne: the leading banking institution with 1 million clients
Vauban 21 is a unique project in the Mediterranean, their aim is to elevate Port Vauban again to the status of Mediterranean Yachting Capital and to establish a model port with the highest level of service for the yacht owners and their guests.
The project of Vauban 21 goes far beyond the renovation of the marina.An efficient eco system around the marina will be created, by working with the yachting professionals who can deliver the best quality service for the users of the Marinas.
The aim is to establish a true value for each and every one of the partners of Port Vauban.
The first priority for Vauban 21 will be upgrading the services, the quality of welcoming guests, the technology and the general organisation of the Marina.
The second stage will be creating a Yachting Campus in the area of St Roch, in order to offer the best training, seminars and conferences in the Yachting Industry.Through an efficient working relationship with maritime and technology specialists in Sophia Antipolis (Silicon Valley of Europe) a Yachting Technology Hub will be created in Antibes.
Vauban 21 will be investing in new Capitaineries on the IYCA and in the Port Vauban.
The Capitainerie on the IYCA will have a bigger and stronger helipad and a Crew Leisure facility with Fitness Center, Library etc. Storage boxes for the yachts will be installed all along the quay.
The new Capitainerie in Port Vauban will see a new, elegant, panoramic view restaurant with a large terrace on the roof top of the building, as well as a new Yacht Club for the yacht owners and their guests.
A 600 places underground parking shall cover up a big part of the cars parked in the marina. At the same time a new walkway of about 7 km all around the marina will be created.
In total a projected investment of about 135 Million Euros is planned over the next 15 years.
Vauban 21 is recognition of the excellence of the players of the yachting industry who have invested physically and emotionally in the port.
With them at its side VAUBAN 21 will transform the city of Antibes in a world-leading destination for yachting.
