HERE COMES THE SUN in the BVI’s

AMELS and DAMEN are pleased to announce that HERE COMES THE SUN, AMELS’ flagship 83-metre (272 ft) superyacht, will be showcasing at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). She will be joined by the 46-metre DAMEN Yacht Support JOY RIDER (151 ft).

Having recently been on display at Monaco Yacht Show, FLIBS 2019 marks HERE COMES THE SUN’s second only appearance at a boat show since her delivery in 2017. Whilst this will be the very first time that she has been on display in the USA, she is no stranger to the Americas.

Over the last 2 years, HERE COMES THE SUN has extensively toured both North and South America visiting more than 20 destinations from Alaska down to Brazil. She has lived up to her reputation as an ocean-going performer, clocking up an impressive 42,000 nautical miles since she left the AMELS shipyard in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

HERE COMES THE SUN is the largest AMELS yacht built to date and the first AMELS 272 from the yard’s highly successful Limited Editions range. She is a yacht for families to enjoy the best of ocean life on a grand and timeless scale. The large 2,827 Gross Tonnage for her length results in generous interior volume and ceiling heights as well as a large number of indoor and outdoor luxury spaces.

Her bold, but not overpowering, colour scheme was developed together with the owners and exterior designer Tim Heywood. Her full custom interior echoes modern beach villa aesthetics with rich natural tones, expertly created by Winch Design. HERE COMES THE SUN’s renowned AMELS naval architecture ensures outstanding seakeeping and manoeuvrability with the highest comfort.

Spanning 6 decks, serviced by 26 crew and with 9 suites accommodating up to 18 (in private use, 12 charter) guests, uninterrupted service, luxury hospitality and enjoyment are the full focus throughout. And there is certainly no shortfall when it comes to stand-out features.

With a grand central staircase, elevator, two galleys for optimised service, an impressively sized state-of-the-art cinema and gaming room, swimming pool, jacuzzi and a large Beach Club plus a wide range of tenders and watertoys including a huge waterslide from Sun Deck, HERE COMES THE SUN is the pinnacle of modern yachting perfection.

“We are delighted to be showcasing HERE COMES THE SUN at FLIBS and are proud to be bringing her to such a prestigious American show and to our American clients. She is a wonderful example of owners stepping up to larger yachts within the AMELS Limited Editions family of yachts. She has proven herself a true ocean-going adventurer and continues to be very successful on the charter market.” explains Rob Luijendijk, AMELS and DAMEN Director Sales.

AMELS and DAMEN will be showcasing HERE COMES THE SUN at FLIBS 2019 together with Fraser Yachts.
