New AMELS 60 yacht sold
Dutch luxury yacht builder AMELS and DAMEN has sold a 60-metre AMELS 60 for delivery to her owner in autumn 2022. The yacht is the second sale from this new Limited Editions design, which was introduced in August 2019.
The AMELS 60 with hybrid power and propulsion technology has an Espen Øino exterior design. The client was represented in the sale by Moran Yacht & Ship, who will also supervise the build. Together with the Moran Yacht & Ship team, the client has been closely involved in customising the yacht to their personal requirements, including their own choice of interior designer.
The sale comes almost exactly a decade after the first project delivered by AMELS and Moran Yacht & Ship. The successful collaboration has since grown to include five AMELS Limited Editions yachts and DAMEN Yacht Support vessels.

The sale confirms the strong market reception to the new AMELS Limited Editions design created by AMELS naval architects and engineers together with exterior designer Espen Øino and his team in Monaco.
“The AMELS 60 is our first time designing a yacht up front,” Espen comments, “so it’s very satisfying to see the positive response from clients. It’s an extremely well-optimised design. Together with the AMELS team we invested a lot of time fine-tuning, really looking back at the Limited Editions past, talking to clients. We were very aligned with AMELS and I think that shows in the result.”
