New AMELS 180 sold with summer 2019 delivery
“The owner was looking for proven ocean-going performance so he and his family can enjoy destinations around the world,” comments Rutger Dolk from the AMELS commercial team. “We can’t wait to see this custom AMELS 180 cruising in the beautiful Exumas or across to the Pacific just like her sister ships do.”
The owner created the bespoke color scheme in collaboration with exterior designer Tim Heywood and the AMELS design team, with a blue tone hull and anthracite grey superstructure for an uninterrupted geometry highlighting the long lines on Bridge Deck and Sun Deck.
The custom interiors are by the owner’s choice of designer Bonesteel Trout Hall, a California-based boutique residential studio, working in collaboration with AMELS interior specialists.
“The owner and his family have been very involved in the custom exterior and interior design,” Rutger says. “Creating such a bespoke yachting experience while still offering delivery in less than a year is a great compliment to our design and project teams and demonstrates how well our Limited Editions approach works.”
The AMELS 180 has proven full displacement naval architecture with a large volume (671 Gross Tonnage), offering strong and stable seakeeping behavior for excellent comfort and global range. The logical layout and properly-sized storage for equipment is a direct result of the larger volume, ensuring no compromise for journeys requiring extended periods of full luxury service at sea.
The next available AMELS 180 is now under construction and scheduled for summer 2020 delivery. Favorite features of the AMELS 180 include the impressive 1,938 sq ft Sun Deck (180 square meters), the Main Deck Owners Suite with folding balcony, plus a wide-body Bridge Deck Sky Lounge.
