Maverick 55m: a true rugged long-range luxury yacht for exploring the world.

In the occasion of the Monaco Yacht Show 2017, the renowned Italian shipyard Rossinavi has announced a new partnership with the architect and yacht designer Gian Paolo Nari; the first fruit of which is a superyacht concept called the Maverick 55. A rugged 55.2 metre Explorer Yacht with clear and essential layout, that

features high bulwarks and an almost vertical prow, ideal for ploughing through rough sea states and spending months at sea: a real giant-sized for her category, with over 1000GT, which is expression, like the name suggests, of a “complete autonomy and absolute independence”.

Maverick 55 key features include a full beam wellness centre on the lower deck, ensuite to the guest cabins area; and a fold-out superyacht beach club, with a central staircase leading up to an outstanding 180° panoramic stern lounge: a memory in modern style of the great ancient exploration galleons.

Still, the main deck offers an outdoor/indoor convertible environment, equipped with a big rectangular pool, combined and embedded with the main salon; and forward two guest cabins and the full beam owner stateroom. Moving further upstairs, the large aft deck features a touch-and-go helipad as well as plentiful seating options since the entire deck can be shaded by four rectangular parasols and

organized as a big party area. Further al fresco relaxation options are offered on sun deck with a superyacht spa pool, adjacent bar area and a telescopic lounge area that can rise up to the observation deck, which is surrounded by slender railings for minimal interruption to the panoramic vistas.

By comparison with her powerful exterior layout, the interior decoration, created by Carlo Colombo, presents the preciosity and elegance of a magnificent luxury yacht, with sophisticated environments for relaxation and entertainment. The saloon has been envisaged in an opulent style, with a large C- shaped wrap of seating, plush Trussardi cushions and a spectacular lighting design, suggestive of a star-lit sky. This theme is carried through into the staterooms, with chaises lounges, quilted wall linings and rich wooden flooring. Accommodation is for up to 14 guests split across seven cabins (with 2 guests and the owner on the main deck), while the crew quarters allows for a staff of up to 12 people.

Designed for facing trans-oceanic cruises, Maverick 55 has been based on a highly efficient displacement hull, developed by Arrabito Naval Architects, which can hold fuel consumption and let the yacht cruising for months, not least thanks to her large fuel tanks’ capacity of 150,000 litres. Her stately sides; a maximum beam of 11.20 metre and a low profile – designed for to reduce efficiently the wind exposure – guarantee to Maverick 55 a remarkable navigation stability, even in extreme

conditions; as well as reliable helicopter landing approaches and easy handling of the large number of toys: tender; fishing boat; a small submarine, in addition to a variety ofsea bobs;surf and windsurfing.

In order to aim towards unconventional latitudes, Maverick 55 would sign to an “Ice Class” certification; a series of technical features that allow full boat efficiency, even if she is attacked by polar temperatures. Power would come from a pair of Caterpillar 3512C engines for a top speed of 16 knots and a globetrotting range of 6,000 nautical miles when cruising at 15 knots.

Maverick 55 is the Expedition Long Range Vessel for seamen explorers; special owners attracted by the mystery of the long cruises, who touches the dream of owning a prestigious yacht, with the safeness of a mighty boat, maverick from any tie with the ground.
