La Palina Classic Collection Gets New Look, Gordo Sizes
Palina added three blends to its lauded Classic line two years ago, and now the company has announced they are changing up the look of the collection and adding new Gordo formats.
The company says that the blends have not been changed for each line of the Classic Collection, only the packaging. The Classic Collection includes the original Natural, which debuted in 2010 and earned a spot in Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 cigars of 2013 list, as well as Rosado, Connecticut and Maduro versions that were added in 2017.
The wooden boite nature boxes that the line debuted in have now been replaced by colorful dress boxes to better differentiate each blend.
Additionally, La Palina is adding new 6 inch by 60 ring gauge Gordo vitolas to the Classic Natural, Connecticut and Rosado lines. The new Gordos will retail for $8 per cigar and, like the other Classic sizes, will come in boxes of 20.
All of the Classic Collection cigars are made at General Cigar Co.’s Honduran-American Tobacco S.A. (HATSA) factory in Danlí, Honduras.
