Gulf Craft’s Presence at Beirut Boat Show
Gulf Craft, recently named one of the world’s top 10 superyacht builders, says demand for luxury products and pursuits – in particular on-water luxury – continues to be strong in the Lebanese capital.
The shipyard, who is participating at the Beirut Boat Show 2014 which opens on May 14th , is highlighting its superyacht product range at the waterfront event which is attracting the cream of the city’s elite.
The present expansion of the waterfront leisure and entertainment offering has been hailed as reinstating the city’s crown of being the “Paris of the East”. For example, the glamorous Zaitunay Bay development is considered to be one of the most popular leisure spots in Beirut today, offering a luxury marina setting, boardwalk and high-end dining outlets.
“Beirut has always retained its position as a Mediterranean escape, with yachting and the marine entertainment scene being popular not only amongst the city’s wealthy residents but also among high-net-worth visitors from neighbouring countries in the GCC,” said Mohammed AlShaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft.
“We consider having a presence at the Beirut Boat Show an important addition to our annual boat show calendar,” added AlShaali.
“The yachting scene in the Middle East continues to develop with the strong support of bodies such as the Arab Marine Industries Association, which is working to streamline regulations and support the industry. We expect markets like Lebanon with natural coastlines that encourage marine leisure activities to continue to develop fast in the coming years,” he concluded.
