B&ST: Networking and B2B between yacht brokers and shipyards
B&St (Broker and shipyard trading) will shortly kick off the first event in this field in Europe conceived and organized by two experts in their sector. IYBA (International Yacht Brokers Association), based in the Principality of Monaco, offers its great experience since it puts together industry professionals and brokerage companies and has always promoted meetings dedicated to cooperation and professional training. Navigo, center for innovation and development of the yachting industry, brings together 150 member companies from its headquarters in Viareggio and is currently one of the largest European nautical aggregates.
Training, networking, business meetings between shipyards and yacht brokers: two in-depth meetings – organised during 2018 – to create synergy and benefits between two key players in the yacht and superyacht market, both in terms of new business and refitting.
The event aims to improve the relationship between yacht brokers and shipyards at a time of growth of the large yacht market. An opportunity immediately captured by the main shipyards that have joined, including Amels, Baglietto, Benetti, Feadship, Heesen, Overmarine and Rossinavi to name a few, and the most important brokerage companies such as Camper & Nicholsons, Engel & Völkers Yachting, Fraser Yachts, Peter Insull, Moravian Yachting, Ocean Independence, Yachting International Partners, Worth Avenue Yachts.
The two scheduled moments will be divided into a first seminar on market strategies two days of matching business with visits to shipyards. The first appointment Brokers & Shipyards Training and Meeting: New Construction Seminar is scheduled on January 31st in Monaco (Stars’n’Bars, 6 Quai Antoine 1er) certainly one of the most prestigious international nautical hubs with a natural network of operators. The program will involve European mediators and stakeholders in the yachting industry with discussion panels on the new market, the role of the broker, project management, custom design and the listing of yachts under construction. The second meeting Broker and Shipyard: B2B and Shipyards visit will be held in Viareggio on May 10th and 11th during Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous. It will consist in B2B meetings scheduled through a dedicated digital app and visits to shipyards in the nautical district.
Offering targeted opportunities for profitable debates between yacht brokers and shipyards, it allows to achieve a real advantage in relations and alignment of business perspectives, maximizing the brokerage experience at all levels: from production to the sale of yachts. B&St is certainly an unmissable event for all professionals in the field and for shipyards who want to expand the collaboration network and explore new market opportunities. Yacht brokers play a crucial role in educating customers on all aspects of yachting market, including the second-hand and the new construction; shipyards can improve their interaction with customers by building up trusted relationships with brokers who are themselves encouraged to present a new way of organizing to their customers.
B&St is supported by Distretto Tecnologico per la Nautica e la Portualità Toscana: a network of companies put together by Navigo, as leader of the project, together with Spa Navicelli di Pisa and the Polo Tecnologico Magona. Three subjects that together lead and participate in one of the largest and most active regional districts, to which 200 companies already belong, 11 competence centers and services, 20 research organizations and 39 industrial research and technology transfer infrastructures.
During these years, Navigo has developed an in-depth knowledge of the international yachting network – thanks to the experience gained in organizing events such as Yare (Yachting Aftersales and Refit Experience) specifically directed to the refit market and the business meeting between superyacht captains and companies and, in partnership with other organizers such as Fiera Milano, for the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous, a show dedicated to high-end boating, and with Boat International Media for the event World Superyacht Awards. With this new event, Navigo intends to offer support and expertise in the important relationships between brokers and shipyards.
