Baglietto will be among the major participants in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida Boat Show taking place this Nov.1st-Nov.5th, an exposition that draws hundreds of leading marine businesses form around the world. Bagllietto will take this occasion to present the latest V-Line Projects by Hot Lab of 38m and 41m.

Says Michele Gavino, Baglietto CEO: “Baglietto is very proud to join once again the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show together with the most important international shipyards. We have made great strides in research and project development over the last few years to define different platforms and contemporary design with the assurance of maximum comfort and performance. The partnership with Hot Lab Design is an example of our dedication”.

Baglietto 38m and 41m V-Line by HOT LAB

THE GENESIS

The stylistic elements that resulted in the Baglietto 41m tri-deck, and in the shortest version of 38m, are a blend that has a triple nature. On one hand the design takes into account the tradition of the shipyard. The lightness and the horizontality of the lines of yachts already built by the shipyard (such as M/Y Adler and M/Y Al Fahedi), as well as the aggressive vertical bow in all the V-Line models, were also sources of inspiration. The next elements adhere to influences from the world of architecture. These influences are to be found primarily in the use of verticality and generous usage of glass, the material that enables the interior not only to be flooded with natural light, but also to experience the sea and the surrounding nature with no barriers. Other references come from the automotive world, one of Hot Lab’s trademarks when it comes to drawing the external lines of a yacht. The general treatment of the forms and, notably, the dark surface located forward of the sundeck were inspired by one of the most daring and futuristic cars in Italian history: the Bertone-designed Stratos Zero. The characteristic wedge, like the shape of this 1970 car, is definitely to be found in the shape of the superstructure that forms that very sundeck.

IN THE NAME OF VOLUME

Both yachts are characterized by a remarkable amount of space and volume, notably in the social areas, indoor and outdoor alike. The sundeck and the swimming platform are both significant examples of such an efficient usage of space.

The 41m sundeck includes a comfortable bar in the forward part, in addition to two seating and sunbathing areas, and offers a 360° view thanks to the relatively intrusive hardtop.

The stern area is primarily a beach club and is equipped with a proper gym and a steam shower.

Another salient feature is the dining area located on the main deck, aft of the main saloon; thanks to the door and the windows that open on three sides, this turns into a magnificent “al fresco” dining area, one of those that every owner has dreams of. On the same deck, but more towards the bow, is the owner’s suite, which includes a dressing room and, to starboard, an office and an in-room private terrace that ensure moments of relaxation away from prying eyes. Thanks to the large windows on both sides the full- –beam owner’s suite is flooded with natural light.

Baglietto 38m V-Line RPH by HOT LAB

The 38m is the smallest project of the V-Line by Hot Lab. The lines maintain the family feeling with the other yachts with her sleek, winsome lines–available both in tri-deck and raised pilot house versions.

The vertical bow allows a full-beam owner’s cabin and the big windows directly on the hull give major light to the interiors. A terrace can be featured on starboard side upon request. The main deck forward is “flush” type; this allows the area to be featured with loose sun beds when at anchor. This part of the deck is very flexible. A hidden table with foldable chairs is also included in this amazing space, which can be used in many different ways to enjoy an amazing view.

The sun deck is very large and can host a sunbathing area, a spacious conversation area and a dining table for ten guests with bar. A stair on the starboard side allows access to this deck, while a separate passage is dedicated for the crew. The external wheelhouse is starboard, while a small gate on port side allows direct access forward. The geometrical fin–the typical element identifying the Hot Lab’s Baglietto V-line–appears in the arch fixing the hard top.

The swimming platform aft hosts a transformer platform and ample room for water toys next to the garage with direct access from the engine room.

“Design limitations from the yard were very modest,” says Antonio Romano, Hot Labpartner. “The result is a product that boasts modern and appealing lines, a yacht that oozes Italian style and wisely reinterprets the well-known character and personality of Baglietto. The Baglietto—Hot Lab cooperation has started auspiciously and all the premises for the duo to continue under a lucky star are still there. The next appointment is the 2017 FLIBS, when this 41–meter model and also a 38m, the smallest in the V–Line, will be unveiled, thus completing a range that has clearly set up its own guidelines, following in the wake of innovation, Italian style and respect for tradition.”
