Azimut unveils the new Seadeck Series
GENTLE AT SEA
In the nautical world, Azimut has realized the ideal of returning to nature: in fact, the Shipyard was the first to combine technological solutions to reduce environmental impact with stylistic and design innovations aimed at breaking down the barriers between inside and outside to embrace the sea once again.
Taking this approach to the extreme, the Seadeck Series will offer the highest efficiency ever achieved by Azimut while introducing a new concept on the market, that of a family boat for longer stays on board with ample spaces and a wide-open aft terrace.
The Seadeck was born to integrate all the Shipyard’s experience into the first-ever Series of hybrid yachts – with a spectrum of technological solutions holistically reducing environmental impact, lowering energy consumption and furtherly cutting CO2 emissions
The new series represents the most efficient yachts ever designed by Azimut, and will deliver the industry’s first 40% reduction in emissions over an average year of use compared to traditional flybridge vessels of similar size.
INTRODUCING THE FUN ISLAND
To define the exterior design and the interior concept of the Seadeck, Azimut collaborated with Alberto Mancini. The unique style lines of the new Series are characterized by cleanliness and essentiality, searching for the perfect harmony between interior and exterior to foster a sense of uninterrupted contact with nature and giving a second meaning to the eco-conscious conception of the Series.
The Fun Island is the landmark of the Seadeck Series, an unparalleled sea-level aft terrace with no physical or visual barriers. This expansive outdoor lounge creates a communion between the guests, the onboard living areas and the sea, encouraging a shared and immersive experience of nature. Keeping contact across the deck with guests in the water is a new level of social connection, epitomizing fun.
CONSCIOUS DESIGN & GENTLE MATERIALS
n their interior style and decor project for the Seadeck Series, Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez fully realized the conscious approach that is the guiding light of their architecture.
The duo was inspired to create a boat that is both technically and emotionally durable, as timeless design adds value and is sustainable by nature. Their idea of evergreen beauty was strengthened by the use of natural, recycled and eco-friendly materials: for example, cork was selected to replace teak for both its natural regeneration and its ancient, Mediterranean connection to pleasant sensory experiences. Clean, uncomplicated shapes that reveal the “heart” of each space are favored to define a new concept of luxury based on wellbeing.
