Arcadia yachts launches handpicked interior solutions by high-end Italian designer brands

ARCADIA YACHTS has always been about unveiling new horizons and natural harmony with the sea by combining tradition with innovation, technology and adventurous aesthetics. The distinctive exterior styling and expansive open-air spaces of their yachts have captured the imagination of the marketplace: now it is time to focus attention on the interior design.

With this in mind, the shipyard has pre-selected a range of loose furniture for both interior and exterior use that highlights their design philosophy and makes the decision process easier for the clients, who can relax in the knowledge that their yacht is furnished with the best prêt-à-porter products available.

“This next step in the ARCADIA YACHTS Yachting Renaissance is not just about putting a designer sofa or table aboard a yacht,” says Francesco Ansalone, ARCADIA YACHTS Marketing & Communications manager. “It’s about carefully choosing items for the social and private areas that best compliment the functionality and aesthetics of our yachts. Of course, Owners are free to make their own choice, but we have brought our eight years of production experience to make a refined selection of loose furniture that guarantees sophisticated design and high quality.”

The open aft deck of the Arcadia A85 offers outstanding conviviality, unbroken connection with the natural environment and a seamless transition into the glass-clad ‘winter garden’ and interior. For this area we chose a combination of MET sofas and pouffs by Cassina that serve as sensual chaise longues upholstered in weather-proof, light grey Sunbrella fabrics.

Accompanying these loungers is the Frame table designed by Alberto Meda for Alias. Made of die-cast aluminium with a white rectangular top, it is an elegantly practical solution for open-air dining that shines in any context. The comfortable Elle Arm Soft dining chairs, also by Alias, were chosen for their hard-wearing aluminium frame and ergonomic TECH® polyurethane shell that can be upholstered in different colours or in hide.

Moving inside, the glass superstructure of the ARCADIA A85 offers unparalleled sea views. To preserve this key feature of ARCADIA YACHTS, the shipyard selected furniture pieces with minimal profiles so as not to interrupt the panoramic vistas, while complimenting the innovative exterior styling and enhancing circulation flow through the interior.

The modern classic forms of three Poltrona Frau TWICE sofas decorate the winter garden. Upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather and textiles in warm shades provided by nature, these sofas are characterised by their perfect symmetry and eye for construction detail.

Accessories include Fiorile coffee tables by Poltrona Frau, whose softly rounded triangular surfaces are covered in Pelle Frau® hide with delicate same-colour or contrasting stitching around the edge. In pride of place between the sofas is a low Miller table designed by Andrea Parisio for Meridiani with a matte-lacquered base and bronzed brass surface.

The centre piece in the main dining room is the Pathos table by B&B Italia able to seat 10 guests. With its rounded, rectangular top of Calacatta white marble and chromed frame, it is a masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship by the renowned designer Antonio Citterio.

The lower deck accommodation received the same minute attention to detail and the cabins are finished to the highest standards in the ARCADIA A85’s category. ARCADIA gives the option for a lacquered headboard in the master suite, for example, fashioned by the shipyard’s artisans to resemble the flowing movement of the sea, and the elegant Guscio armchair by Flex form in canaletto walnut is upholstered with Elisir fabric by Dedar.

But arguably the most eye-catching finish below deck is the magnificent Emperador marble in the master bathroom. The precision-cut stone for the floors, counter tops and wall panels provides the perfect accompaniment to the gold-finished faucets by Zucchetti. In addition, light fixtures by brands such as Nahoor, Flos, Artemide and Iguzzini offer the latest in contemporary lighting design.
