ASTRA NORD AND TAG – THE A GROUP PRESENT CIAPPAIRA, A 65-METRE NEW BUILD DESIGNED IN MONACO AND TO BE BUILT IN GERMANY
Astra Nord and TAG – The A Group present Ciappaira, Project A-730, a 65-metre motor yacht designed by the Monaco-based studio TAG – The A Group and to be built by Astra Nord in Germany.
First unveiled during the Monaco Yacht Show, Ciappaira is now offered to prospective owners as a new-build project, bringing together Mediterranean architectural sensibility, contemporary yacht design and German construction expertise.
A Hidden Cove at the Foot of the Rock Ciappaira takes her name from Plage Ciappaira, a secluded pebble cove at the foot of the Rock of Monaco. Almost hidden from view and accessible only by a discreet staircase, the cove is known primarily to those who live nearby.
The yacht translates this same sense of privacy and seclusion to the sea. Conceived as a discreet family retreat, Ciappaira is defined by natural materials, understated luxury and an abundance of changing natural light. The result is a calm and private environment designed around family life and a close connection with the water.
A Floating Sanctuary for the Family arranged across five decks, Ciappaira accommodates 12 guests in six cabins.
An entire Family Deck is dedicated to the owner and their family. A private family lounge is positioned aft, while the owner’s stateroom occupies the forward section and opens directly onto a secluded foredeck complete with its own spa pool.
The main deck incorporates the principal salon, dining room and guest accommodation, while the upper deck extends aft into a generous alfresco dining terrace.
A defining feature of the yacht is found aft on the main deck, where the exterior extends into an expansive platform conceived for relaxed outdoor living. At its centre is a substantial 4.2 x 3.6-metre swimming pool, an exceptional feature for a yacht of this length, surrounded by a spacious lounge area.
At water level, the stern opens to reveal an extensive beach club incorporating a lounge, pool, sauna, hammam and fitness area. Fold-down terraces on either side further expand the space and strengthen the connection between the interior and the sea.
Tenders are positioned forward on the main deck, allowing the stern to remain entirely dedicated to leisure and life on the water.
Lines That Do Not Age Ciappaira’s exterior architecture is characterised by long, layered decks, timber-lined overhangs and generous expanses of glazing.
Rather than relying on transient styling cues, the yacht has been conceived through proportion, materiality and architectural composition. Interior spaces maintain direct visual connections with the sea, reinforcing the relationship between life on board and the surrounding environment.
The transom is finished in stone, creating a direct architectural reference to the rock formation that inspired the project and its name.
